reviewed on: 08/15/2017 by AnonymousThis looked like a very clean nice community when we toured it. This community does allow pets and seems to offer a lot of nice activities. They offer transportation and they have a pool for the residents to enjoy. This community was just a little more expensive than the community we chose.

All of the staff where very friendly and made sure to give my loved one lots of great information about there community. It was a spacious floor plan with lots of great amenities offered to there residents. The location was just not a right fit for my family.

reviewed on: 06/20/2015 by AnonymousMy parents were only there at Emeritus at Woodbridge for about a week. They do a lot of things well. Everybody there is very friendly and welcoming, and the food is really good. One thing that they could do better is coordinating the on-boarding of the patients. My parents seemed a little confused and unsure of exactly what they were supposed to do. Other than that everything was very good.

Activities are baseline, but my mom seemed to really enjoy the scenic drive through Seymour/Oxford. Some of the food is not the best quality, e.g., tomato rice soup, turkey cheese sandwich. Soup is watery and the sandwich is not substantial enough.
Worth the Money

I've been able to speak to the staff over the phone, and observe to the conversation of the staff with my loved one. The community has been really good at accommodations, to have some extra decorations to make her feel comfortable and orienting her. The community made it feel like my loved one's house. They are good at redirecting and giving medications to my loved one. The food is excellent, and is good enough that visitors want to eat there. The chef worked in a restaurant in the past. The staff are engaged with the residents in the memory care unit, and are thoughtful. I feel it is a good value. It is sometimes hard to get a hold of the staff since I am out of town. They are good at follow up and getting my loved one to their doctor appointments. They have an onsite physician. They've also done a great job at managing medications for my loved one.
