Legacy Village review
reviewed on: 09/11/2020 by AnonymousSome activities this community has is bingo, and exercise classes. There usually something to do every day. Legacy Village did not look like an assisted living facility, it looked more like a home. The room our loved one is currently in, has a bedroom with a little space for a couple chairs as well as a bathroom. They do also offer a two bedroom with a bath. The food served at this community is the only problem we have, its just not good quality food.
As Good as It Gets Here
reviewed on: 11/11/2018 by BrahmsDisclaimer: I have had maybe ten experiences with assisted living facilities, over many years. I am comparing Legacy Village to all those, not just to local facilities. Legacy Village is about average for a contemporary facility, on the Atlanta scale. On the Thomasville scale, it's great. The staff and administrators are involved and engaged. Diet is comfort food - appropriate for the residents' tastes, maybe not for their cardio... but they seem to like it. Activities are many and varied. Finally, the cost is quite reasonable. On the down side, the physical plant is getting a little tired. Yes, they clean and paint, but the technology of assisted living has moved on. It still feels like an old-school "retirement home", but again, that's a matter of taste. Regardless, if you're looking in the Tallahassee - Valdosta corridor, this is about the best facility out there. Good value, great staff and location. We would make this choice again without hesitation.
Poor corporate management
reviewed on: 09/26/2019 by AnonymousAlthough facility and residents are clean thanks to dedicated staff members who go the second and third miles without overtime pay and working for just over minimum wage, the facility is frequently understaffed, no-shows. Hardest working staff very underpaid. Food is edible but definitely frozen, or from cans; bread is tasteless. Staff will not eat there. Everything done on the cheap. Deceptive advertising in that there are "two nurses on duty" -- they have nursing degrees but are on the administrative staff doing administrative work, not checking on residents, even sick residents. Bedbugs and pneumonia seem to be a recurring problem. Activities personnel untrained, nonproductive, just drawing a paycheck. Complaints to corporate and to state offices who oversee these facilities are not taken seriously/nothing done. Took the state officials a month to investigate. Residents are mostly nursing home level, not assisted living, and that requires more staffing. Other Legacy Village facilities may offer better, but be careful.
Completely respectful
reviewed on: 04/09/2021 by anonymousI would tell others to be careful of the staff members here. They are not communicative and do not talk to you like they should. The administration is terrible, 2 weeks after my dad passed away they filed a lawsuit against me for payment even though I had not even gotten a bill. I would not recommend to anybody.
Don't Send Your Parents To Legacy
reviewed on: 12/14/2020 by AnonymousThe food they serve is worse than the inmates receive in prison. The staff were great to deal. When sending an email with questions or concerns I would receive an answer withing an hour. A good staff and community, bad corporation.
