Mom's experience at The Regency
reviewed on: 01/15/2014 by Cheryl P. Is fine. The Regency is home to mom. When we go out For any reason she always says "I can't wait to get Home". It took time for her to feel this way but now She says how lucky she is to live there and wouldn't Want to live anywhere else. The staff is wonderful and Caring. My only complaint would be the time from Ringing for staff and arrival time which can be a bit lengthy. We are very pleased with her stay.
Regency Retirement Review - Wonderful Place
reviewed on: 03/08/2020 by Mike AnastasiaI wanted to write a review for the Regency Retirement Village and share our experience. We planned an out-of-state move with my mother-in-law of 90 years. This was a very tough move for us to make but we really wanted to have her close to us here in the Birmingham area. We had reviewed five other agencies in detail and on-site. The Regency stood out to us as one we should consider the most. After making the move now and being there six weeks, we are so glad we did. The staff was unbelievable and so supportive during this move and beyond. The administration is responsive and efficient. They were a great team and the help and support they provided for the transition was very professional. The layers of personnel providing professional care is exceptional and caring. In general, everything is great! Having been with other institutions previously, we are very impressed with the staffing, the cleanliness, and the day to day job that they do. But there is so much more. The food is the best we have ever seen in any kind of similar facility, it is just so good! The memory care section is colorful, happy, clean, and laid out perfectly for security, service, and most importantly, for social/stimulating activities. All in all, it was more than we had hoped for!

reviewed on: 05/21/2014 by AnonymousHard location to get to. Only studios in assisted living. One bed room only available in independent living. Price is excellent but by the time you add the additional VIP services to make it closer to assisted living it would not be worth it. Bad odor in the lobby.
Pretty good place....
reviewed on: 01/15/2014 by AnonymousI have to say, much better than other experiences we have had and people are friendly. Seems that they don't let the small stuff drop. However, after being there for less than a year, they just increased their prices which is not appreciated given the budget. A week later, they wanted Christmas bonuses....bad timing.
