Community Reviews
I would never hesitate to recommend this community!!!
reviewed on: 06/24/2016 by AnonymousMy dad has passed away since moving into Hacienda Del-Rey. This was a great place while he was there. The staff were great and I am glad he was at this community. They offer great care to the residents. I cannot say enough about this place. I also wanted to thank A Place for Mom for referring us to this community.
It's a good place for mom
reviewed on: 05/17/2021 by JenniferWhen we try to get ahold of people here with questions, they always answer the phone and are responsive. My loved one is very happy here, especially after the place she was in previously. A couple of her friends from the last place even moved with her. It's very clean here. The food is actually pretty good. They're really proud of it, and they have a chef who cooks most of the food in-house. Our loved one isn't participating in a lot of the activities, but they're at least offering them.
Nice place, but not for my Mom
reviewed on: 07/10/2019 by AnonymousThe facilities are great and the staff is very nice. They recently built a central kitchen to prepare meals, and my Mom gives it mixed reviews. Mostly she is disappointed that all but two cottages are memory care so she doesn't have many people to socialize with. Also, the activities often don't occur or have sparse attendance.
Review for Hacienda del Rey
reviewed on: 03/05/2019 by Deidre St RomainThe care given is phenomenal. The front office is not good about returning phone calls or making arrangements for other services. Dropped the ball repeatedly and had to follow up several times before what I needed to be done was done. I feel like once they have you in there then that is all that they need do. A follow up call after placement would have been greatly appreciated as I was unsure about who did what and a simple follow up call within a week, then another two weeks maybe and then a month later is advisable. getting an answer to these questions was awkward and not timely.
Wonderful Care for Mom
reviewed on: 10/20/2021 by Frank PierceIn early 2020, we searched city wide for a memory care facility for my mother. Hacienda Del Rey stood out as the best "by far." After moving Mom to Hacienda in March, 2020 she immediately settled in as if she's always been there. When she has medical issues the staff calls me and discusses treatment options. While she was battling covid-19 the staff called me daily and helped us to video chat with Mom during quarantine. It was very clear to our entire family that the care takers treat her as their grandmother. One specific moment that we will never forget was when we were visiting Mom through the window during quarantine and talking through the window on the phone. Mom was using the caretaker's personal phone and as we spoke, the girl was twirling Mom's hair with her finger like she would with a loved one of her own. She made Mom feel so warm and comfortable even though she could not understand why we were separated by a window. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place.
