Community Reviews
I took a tour!
reviewed on: 04/28/2017 by AnonymousWhen I toured Hacienda Del Rey, I also thought it was aa nice place. The person that took me around was read with information and very accommodating. They really worked with our schedule and we had a great experience, but it was not the best fit for my father. We wanted something with more personal one on one care.
Safe, Friendly, Caring Community
reviewed on: 08/19/2021 by M GThe community communicates very well. The staff are amazing! They really care for the residents here. My loved one doesn't like the food, as it doesn't have a lot of variety, and sometimes the food isn't exactly what the community says it is.
Intimate, Caring Community
reviewed on: 05/15/2020 by D.D.The caregivers are very good and they really do care about the residents. They do not have a big staff turnover which is really helpful. It allows the residents and staff to form a relationship, which I really like. They have good communication. Before COVID, they had monthly family meetings at the community, but now they send texts and emails to keep families updated. I chose the community because of the small cottage setting. There are ten residents in each cottage which allows for more personalized care.
Good
reviewed on: 10/06/2017 by AnonymousMy sister's stay here was overall a good experience. She really likes to take her walks though and unfortunately she was not able to walk the grounds at this facility. The staff is very personable and so are the residents in the community. The only thing that stuck out to me though was that I wish they separated the residents by their levels of care more so that my sister could participate in more things and did not feel excluded at times.
Wonderful Care for Mom
reviewed on: 10/20/2021 by Frank PierceIn early 2020, we searched city wide for a memory care facility for my mother. Hacienda Del Rey stood out as the best "by far." After moving Mom to Hacienda in March, 2020 she immediately settled in as if she's always been there. When she has medical issues the staff calls me and discusses treatment options. While she was battling covid-19 the staff called me daily and helped us to video chat with Mom during quarantine. It was very clear to our entire family that the care takers treat her as their grandmother. One specific moment that we will never forget was when we were visiting Mom through the window during quarantine and talking through the window on the phone. Mom was using the caretaker's personal phone and as we spoke, the girl was twirling Mom's hair with her finger like she would with a loved one of her own. She made Mom feel so warm and comfortable even though she could not understand why we were separated by a window. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place.
