Community Reviews
Good
reviewed on: 10/06/2017 by AnonymousMy sister's stay here was overall a good experience. She really likes to take her walks though and unfortunately she was not able to walk the grounds at this facility. The staff is very personable and so are the residents in the community. The only thing that stuck out to me though was that I wish they separated the residents by their levels of care more so that my sister could participate in more things and did not feel excluded at times.
Intimate, Caring Community
reviewed on: 05/15/2020 by D.D.The caregivers are very good and they really do care about the residents. They do not have a big staff turnover which is really helpful. It allows the residents and staff to form a relationship, which I really like. They have good communication. Before COVID, they had monthly family meetings at the community, but now they send texts and emails to keep families updated. I chose the community because of the small cottage setting. There are ten residents in each cottage which allows for more personalized care.
It's a good place for mom
reviewed on: 05/17/2021 by JenniferWhen we try to get ahold of people here with questions, they always answer the phone and are responsive. My loved one is very happy here, especially after the place she was in previously. A couple of her friends from the last place even moved with her. It's very clean here. The food is actually pretty good. They're really proud of it, and they have a chef who cooks most of the food in-house. Our loved one isn't participating in a lot of the activities, but they're at least offering them.
Review of Hacienda Del Rey
reviewed on: 08/20/2020 by LaRae WeikertWe are so pleased that our mom is living at Hacienda Del Rey. The caregivers and staff are exceptional and we feel she is well cared for in this community. We resonate with the philosophy of care for residents with dementia and feel so blessed to have found a facility that focuses on each individual and their needs. We're especially grateful for the good communication during the Covid-19 pandemic and appreciate all of the efforts that Gretchen and her leadership team have made to provide a safe environment for our family members.
Review of Hacienda Del Rey
reviewed on: 08/19/2020 by Durlinda FulkersonMy mom has vascular dementia, we were looking for a new Memory Care Community. I met with [name removed] in March 2020. She provided me with all the information on Hacienda Del Rey. She and the staff I met were very warm and friendly. As we toured Hacienda, we were greeted by so many friendly staff members who were very open and responsive to our questions. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 we were forced to wait until late May to move mom. [name removed] and the management team had arranged to have the maintenance manager help with the move in. To our surprise when we arrived not only was the maintenance manager there the caregivers also quickly jumped in and began helping bring in boxes and furniture. The caregivers from Hacienda went out of their way to welcome mom to her new home. The thing I like most is the staff members and management really do care about the residents. We are very happy we found Hacienda Del Rey and would recommend them to others who need special care for their loved ones.
