Community Reviews
We are Pleased
reviewed on: 10/22/2019 by Mary SmrekI have been here for 4 years with my husband and our activity participation has increased since we moved in here. Not a surprise that would happen because of all the activities that are provided. The staff and the residents are pleasant to be around. We have always found the staff to be helpful, always listen and respond to our needs. Our children and grandchildren are very happy we are at The Citadel and can relax and know that we are taken care of and that we are in a better place, The fact that our family is happy also makes us pleased. The food is FANTASTIC! Dining room is such a great place to socialize while eating excellent food. This is a great place to call home.
Prior to the Pandemic it is a Nice Place to Live
reviewed on: 12/03/2020 by DebraAfter moving in things started to go down hill. I'm not sure if this is due to a management change or change of ownership. I believe the community is doing the best they can. They recently hired a new chef for the community. The community also hired more housekeeping staff to assist with the residents. My loved ones recently had a increase in price for rent. The community has a self library. We went to eat several times with my loved ones, and it was very nice. The community doesn't enforce the mask mandate when going into the hallways for residents. The grounds are kept very nicely. My loved ones were able to get on the bottom floor, with a patio, and a doggie door to bring their dog with them. The community did transport the residents to the shopping centers and grocery stores prior to the pandemic.
He Enjoyed His One Week There
reviewed on: 01/23/2017 by AnonymousWhen I need a place for my dad while I went out of town, this community is available. It all went well and he did not complain about his visit. I only came across the manager I was dealing with had left when I got my dad there but the new manager followed through with what we agreed to. He told me it went well and I would use them for a respite again.

My New Home
reviewed on: 08/23/2016 by AnonymousI am absolutely happy with the care here. The food is good from the dinning room but I mostly make my own food. I have suitable amenities to prepare and make my meals. The staff come to my room to dump trash and they keep the community clean. There is a few activities and I get to play cards or sit with residents and talk. They have a few different Sunday services and I'm going to check some out. My daughters were also impressed with the help from A Place For Mom.
