Community Reviews
did an excellent job
reviewed on: 06/04/2015 by AnonymousThe staff at Citadel Assisted Living was very helpful and really understanding. They did an excellent job explaining things to us and helping us out. At the last moment my mother backed out and decided not to go, and the time it took for us to get our money back was much longer than it should have been. But that was the only downside of the whole entire experience.
My New Home
reviewed on: 08/23/2016 by AnonymousI am absolutely happy with the care here. The food is good from the dinning room but I mostly make my own food. I have suitable amenities to prepare and make my meals. The staff come to my room to dump trash and they keep the community clean. There is a few activities and I get to play cards or sit with residents and talk. They have a few different Sunday services and I'm going to check some out. My daughters were also impressed with the help from A Place For Mom.
Starting To Feel Like Home
reviewed on: 05/06/2016 by AnonymousThis is truly a lovely community, we really love it here. We have a very nice apartment and a young lady comes and cleans once a week for us. They keep the community very clean and well-kept, it is a beautiful place. They provide transportation to our doctors appointments. We have participated in some activities, and they have many for us too choose from. The food is okay, we mainly go to dinner for the companionship. My daughter is even impressed with this community. We are really starting to feel like we are at home, and I would recommend it.
Great option when you can't live on your own
reviewed on: 11/10/2018 by JOMy friend Di moved into The Citadel at the end of July 2018. She is pleased to be there & feels safe & secure. She says the food there is good & the dining room is lovely. A comfortable place to live when you can no longer live on your own.
Has Some Challanges But Likes The Community
reviewed on: 09/20/2017 by AnonymousDespite some of the challenges mom likes the community and likes her apartment. She likes the way the community is the setup you have to go outside to get to the dining area and all the hallways open up to the outside. They have shaded courtyards which she likes. We have found that most of the activities are for the assisted living and rehab side not for the independent living side except for some cards games. One major concern that now has been corrected is that it took 6 weeks to have mom moms tv and cable hooked up after her moving in. I'm a little disappointed in the front desk staffing it seems that it is not the same person stationed there.Mom is not the type of person to complain about something if she didn't have a good reason too so when she says she doesn't like the food I tend to believe her. I have eaten here and found the food to be good but I have also ordered off a different menu than her. They have an open window of time for dinner which is a nice feature so you don't have to rush.
