It's going pretty good so far.
reviewed on: 04/02/2015 by AnonymousIt's going pretty good so far. The caregivers themselves are awesome. At first we were in love with it, when we toured. The communication with us isn't as great as we would hope. There are a lot of laundry mix-ups. They are fairly clean, but I have seen things that hadn't been tended to after a few days, but the overall cleanliness is pretty good. The activities are very good. It's beautiful and the grounds are beautiful. Though I would like to see a little quicker response to maintenance issues, especially ones that might pose a danger.

One thing where they might could improve would be to have a little better communication between the departments. Overall it has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Amethyst Arbors.

I would recommend this place and in fact have already recommended to other family members. Most of the staff is a 5, but the front desk lady brings the score down. But the rest of them are outstanding. We are learning the way they do things. They have tons of activities and fun things, but they haven't participated. I'm hoping that when I have time to go and participate with them they will enjoy it. I like the food. This week they are raving about the food. My Aunt loves it. I also thank A Place For Mom for helping and being amazing with information about communities. I'm so thankful for them. It worked out how it was supposed to.
nice facility, but room for improvement
reviewed on: 06/01/2015 by AnonymousAmethyst Arbors is the only facility I found where the rooms open out into an outdoor grassy area. There is a patio on every unit. It has a very home like feel to it. That said there is some room for improvement. Over weekends they seem to be a bit understaffed and it really impacts the level of service that they receive. Also, there was one time when my dad was running low on a certain medication he really needs and they waiting until he was completely out to get it refilled, which led to him having to be without it for a couple of days, which caused some issues. So there is definitely some room for improvement.

reviewed on: 08/19/2015 by AnonymousMom is having health problems so it took some time for the staff at Amethyst Arbors to get adjusted with her issues. The only real negative I have is I was real disappointed when mom had an accident and she had to go to the hospital, I didn't realize we had to get our own transportation. I think they need to make sure people know this up front. Some positives are the staff is very patient and caring. They have communicated with me really well. I would have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone.
