Happy With The Place
reviewed on: 10/21/2015 by AnonymousWhen we first signed up they said there was an ambassador service, which I guess means they had someone assigned to a new-comer to show them around, and my loved one didn't get that service so we were a little disappointed in that. But besides that the only thing I personally thought was a little off was the food, it was okay. Other than that we are happy with the place.
A perfect place for elderly parents wanting to continue to live their life in this next stage.
reviewed on: 07/01/2015 by AnonymousOur experience has been very good at Amethyst Gardens. Our Mother is 92 years old and this is the first time she has lived on her own. A Widow after 69 years she is happier than she has been in several years. She is independent but has help when she needs it; she has delicious meals served in a very pleasant dining room; her caregivers are caring and extremely helpful to her; and she has met many warm and welcoming friends. Since she is legally blind we were concerned there would not be a lot of activities she could participate in, but we have been very pleased that she is able to participate in several each day. Her days are full, the activities help her to expand her mind, and she has said that she is never lonely or afraid. She couldn't be happier. It's our pleasure to give Amethyst Gardens the highest of ratings.
Mom is thrilled
reviewed on: 12/11/2013 by DCMy mother is absolutely thrilled with Amethyst Gardens. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful and she loves the new friends she made as well as the full schedule of activities.
Breathing a sigh of relief.
reviewed on: 01/10/2019 by Margo B-KWhen it was time to get my Mom settled into an assisted living location it was difficult to know where to start.....found a Place for Mom online emailed in my request and within an hour had my advisor give me a call to clarify our needs, financial requirements and locations to help narrow our choices. By the end of business I had 5 to choose from that met our criteria. Pat with Amethyst Gardens was one the phone before the end of the day and was able to answer our questions and get us an appointment for a tour withing 48 hours. My Mom is very happy there. Lots to do the food is good and best of all she can get help on site if and when she needs it. No more house to worry about. She is enjoying the interaction of other folks her age close, she can go to her apartment to have "me" time. Lots of activities that interest her and for me best of all she is up and moving around getting stronger everyday and enjoying her golden years by having the day to day grunt labor being addressed by the folks at the Amethyst. The staff is awesome, the facility comfortable, she has transportation available for outings or necessary things, medical staff on site 24/7 and best of all her 3 cats are along for the ride. Win win. She is on a constant cruise without the Dramamine.
Good as can be expected!
reviewed on: 08/08/2016 by AnonymousAmethyst Gardens offers many daily activities for my mom to participate in. They schedule trips outside of the community for the residents. My mom is not a fan of the food offered because nothing is like homemade food. The cleaning staff could improve by moving chairs and small items when cleaning the floors and dusting. A Place for Mom came to the rescue immediately!
