Very nice place
reviewed on: 04/21/2014 by C WI'd rate them 5s across the board, I was very impressed with what I saw here when I visited. So far we've been very pleased with the staff and the care that they provide, and the facility itself is well looked after and always clean.
Wonderful People in Charge
reviewed on: 10/17/2013 by DaughterIt's a good facility but they were much more costly. The rooms were tiny and the food was institutional but the staff was superb and the chief people, the directors, that I came in to contact with were terrific. My mother initially decided on this one but then she refused to move there at the last minute, after we had paid the $3000 deposit. Not only was I able to get that back, I didn't even have to beg for it. The man in charge there, he said of course you can have the money back because they wouldn't want my mother to be unhappy. He was just wonderful to deal with.
friendly
reviewed on: 12/15/2014 by AnonymousThe one thing that I am most concerned about, since my mom is very high functioning I feel that they are not as attentive to her as I wish they were. I do like the staff in general. They are friendly both with the residents and their families. I really like the security of the facility. Overall I am pleased with Village Green.
A new home for our friend Frances Hammerlund
reviewed on: 11/25/2013 by AnnOur friend Frances Hammerlund has been deaf since the age of 6. She reads lips, speaks (but is difficult to understand) and is now 92 years old. Up until about 6 months ago she lived by herself in an apartment in Hollister, CA. We met Frances about 12 years ago as we all went to the same Lutheran Church. We became friends with her, being drawn to her wonderful smile and christian positive attitude. After her brother died we became more involved with her as her only close by relative is a sister-in-law who is 83 and not able to drive. We started a few years back taking her to Fremont to a Lutheran Church for the deaf and became friends with the pastor and his wife who also visit Frances on a regular basis (about once a month or every other month). We realized after a fall and later trouble walking that it was not safe for her to live alone so we contacted A place for Mom and started checking out facilities that would be safe for her to live in. We (along with her sister-in-law and Pastor) decided Village Green would be a great place. So we moved her in on Sept. 26, 2013. She has been very pleased and even discovered that two of the waitresses in the restaurant do sign language. We are very happy with Village Green and enjoy visiting there and seeing Frances so content.
Watch Out Falsely Chargesd
reviewed on: 02/04/2015 by AnonymousStated that when they placed there family member in the community, they were falsely told about the covered benefits included in the total cost. They were informed just as papers were to be signed that the loved ones medication was not included and further stated that they were told else wise, and after signed contract they were informed of other "new" cost that now cost them almost 650.00 more a month than their prior estimate. However the family said that was the only bad experience they had, but other than that their experience is good.
