reviewed on: 10/01/2020 by Mary JodziewiczWe received an unexpected diagnosis of memory and cognitive decline that meant that our mom was not able to remain in assisted living and required a memory care facility. Since her facility at the time was not certified for memory care, we had to move her very quickly. We stopped by Pacifica Northridge during a drive by after looking at other facilities, expecting to just make an appointment. Within two hours we had a full tour, started the paperwork and placed a deposit. To maximize the insurance help, [name removed] in Admissions had her admitted within two days! At a huge savings! We have never seen our mom SO HAPPY! She loves her room, and every staff member is her "best friend". Pacifica has been an ongoing miracle in our lives!

We go on at least two outings each week. I am grateful that Somerford is my home, and would recommend this community for your family member.

Staff makes the place
reviewed on: 03/13/2014 by JulieDad only lasted one month in Memory Care ward at Pacifica from the hospital. Our review will only be for that transitional period, which is the most difficult. Staff was really great and helpful. Sometimes took a while for them to respond to the room's cord pull. That was my only concern. Worked with kitchen staff to arrange more healthful meals. Caring employees and willing to do what we requested. They worked very hard to accomodate our worries and concerns. Best attribute - the staff!

reviewed on: 10/08/2017 by AnonymousMy father is 93 years old and after suffering numerous falls and the loss of his wife of 68 years, he was depressed and suffering agitation. 24 hr caregivers were not able to give him stimulation. We decided to check in to Pacifica Senior Living which specializes in "memory care" patients. He is now recovered. All of the staff from the food servers to the director of the kitchen are kind and caring. He smiles now and we feel he is in a safe, clean, caring environment.
