A tour for care
reviewed on: 12/06/2016 by AnonymousThis is a nice community. We wanted a independence community for her. She likes to be active. It did not seem to appeal to us. The meals did seemed to be appealing. The community was clean and taken care of. The did have activities that would be offered. I would suggest that families tour this community to see for them self if this the care that they are needing for there love one.

The Best Facility
reviewed on: 04/06/2021 by Daniel MI’ve been a patient here and found this facility to be five rate from the personnel the food the therapist and the whole team. The view and surroundings are also five rate.
They have wonderful grounds.
reviewed on: 05/14/2014 by AnonymousThey have wonderful grounds. The people are friendly, but we were in the nursing home end of it, so it was a little different environment than what a normal assisted living community is like. The physical therapy services were fantastic.
A Little Understaffed
reviewed on: 10/16/2013 by DaughterWe're not entirely thrilled with Emeritus at Carmel Valley. There wasn't enough staff is the dining room. What happened, I think, is a bunch of people moved in and they didn't have the staff to cover it. It's gotten better in the last week or so but once two people from the dining room called in sick and my parents had to wait and hour and a half to get there food. Another time, I happened to be visiting and it took a caretaker over 30 minutes to come when they were called and then she said she was washing clothes. I asked her, isn't responding to a call more important? It just seems to me that they're kind of short staffed. It might be a problem that can be alleviated. My parents have a two bedroom apartment and it's very stressful because my dad has Alzheimer's so my mom is anxious that he's going to get up and fall so we're considering moving him but I have to say they're very nice over there.
