Some Improvements Needed
reviewed on: 12/07/2017 by AnonymousOverall, our experience at Hollybook has been decent, but there are some things that could use improvements. When we were looking to move in, the people there went out of their way to understand what kind of care my loved one would need when he was released from the hospital. Now that we are there, the staff is still friendly and helpful with the residents, but they are not very good at responding to the families. The rooms there are also kind of small, and the location is not very good. The facility is nice and clean though, and the residents seem fine with what they get as far as the food is concerned.
My brother seems to like it here.

About 90 days in....
reviewed on: 06/24/2016 by TerryWhen I toured the facility. prior to placing my mother, I was immediately struck by the cleanliness, updated furnishings, things in their place and the various public areas the residents could use...nice outdoor areas, great TV/movie room with easy chairs...dining hall is clean and run like a restaurant so residents can choose and order...price is very reasonable for private room...and my mother is settling in and confirming the fact that all in all, she's as happy as she can be!
Hollybrook is a pleasant, active community for seniors needing assistance.
reviewed on: 05/05/2014 by AnonymousStaff facilitates the residents to interact and participate in activities or at least be in the community rooms with others rather than just sitting in their rooms. Staff was most helpful during move-in and getting things in order such as getting the TV to work properly, running line for oxygen unit up and around to prevent tripping, etc. Appreciated that several residents shared how long they had been part of the Hollybrook community and that they enjoyed living there. Loved that residents actually order from a menu at each meal and place their orders in the same manner as being at a restaurant. Funny smell when you first enter but the rest of the facility is OK. Residents' artwork is displayed in the hallways and pictures of the residents are placed near the doorway so you can learn names and faces as well as where someone's room is.
A good fit and nice for the price

I visited other communities and that seemed so sterile and the staff personalities were so dry, At this community, the staff are friendly and willing to interact and carry a dialogue with the residents My mother loves to be active and this community offers her that opportunity if she desires to, The admissions director has been a wealth of information and helpful to us as well.
