Community Reviews
Excellent facility
reviewed on: 12/20/2017 by AnonymousWe chose this place because it's close to my home and it has a good vibe to it. The staff has been excellent in caring for my Mother-in-law and the facility is always very clean. They have a few activities for the residents to participate including arts and crafts and various outing. I highly recommend them to other families
Wonderful place!!
reviewed on: 07/27/2017 by AnonymousI have no complains of how things went during my tour of this community. The staff where on time to my appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. The property was clean and they had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. It was just not the right fit in the end decision for myself.
Improve Medication Organization
reviewed on: 11/18/2016 by AnonymousSo far it's been fine but they had a glitch with trying to get medication ordered and available for my mom, which they were aware before moving in. The nurses and assistant need to make sure her medications are ordered, given on time, inform of refills, and return calls. However, the sales woman was very nice and new. She searched for answers when unsure about my question and that was good. My mom is having a great time meeting with friends and goes on excursions and helpful with shopping bags. Her meals consist of choices and have to-go services. I can see the waitstaff doing a good job working hard to please the residents. They also provide rides to the doctor and it helps me not to arrange rides for her. I also like that if she got worse they can provide rehab or memory care. It looks gorgeous but I do wish they had nurses 24 hours not out by 6 pm.
Great fit at the time
reviewed on: 06/26/2014 by DaughterMy father lived here for a little over five years, and ended up moving for a better memory care unit and to be closer to family, but his time here was great. The memory care unit was very small and just developing when he needed it most, so that was one of the main reasons he moved. It is a very large community on almost 40 acres of beautiful grounds with a large amount of residents. There are options for assisted living, independent living, and memory care. The staff was fantastic and the food was great. Ultimately, the new community ended up being a better fit for him, but Saratoga was great while he was living there.
Money precedes over welfare
reviewed on: 07/13/2018 by AnonymousThe Saratoga Retirement Community (SRC) doesn't always do what is best for the residents. They seem more concerned about making money. Adult children need to be advocates for their aging parents, special as illness take place. The SRC pushes the residents into assisting living or memory unit even if the resident isn't ready or really need the change. The adult children should read the contract before their parents move into the community.
