Community Reviews
Very nice and affordable
reviewed on: 04/21/2020 by James McDermottThe staff at Camlu are very friendly. It's really a great value and the community fit my mother's budget. The communication has been okay. I talk to my mother and she fills me in on everything. So, I would say its adequate. My mother really enjoyed the activities offered.

reviewed on: 08/26/2013 by A Place For Mom CustomerRevisited again 8/26/13 with other family members. All staff and residents were welcoming. I don't think my Mom would enjoy living here as much as at Atria or Rio Las Palmas.
Hot Sauce
reviewed on: 08/09/2013 by Satisfied CustomerThey just hired a new activities director. The rooms are spacious and very nice. Mine was repainted and they allowed me to bring my own furnisher. The food is ok but it gets much better when I add hot sauce to it. I always carry my hot sauce with me to add flavor to the food. I really like the community and would recommend it to anyone.
I liked that it has a good community area, where everyone was gathered.

A Nice, Low Cost Facility
reviewed on: 04/05/2017 by BettyThis has been difficult to write because our experience is limited with Camlu. A couple of days after moving in, Camlu informed us that our mother needed more assistance than they thought when they interviewed her. This new level of care would add an additional $800 per month to her rent. This has created a hardship for us. On day four after my mother moved in, she fell and broke her hip. This happened about 4:30 am. The hospital "examined" her and said she was fine. Two days later, still in a lot of pain, she insisted that Camlu call 911 again. This time the hospital diagnosed a broken hip. We have no idea why the fracture was not found on the first trip to the ER. So mom lived at Camlu for six days. She has spent several weeks at a rehab facility and is scheduled to return to Camlu in a few days.
