The Director is a wonderful person and my father was very impressed with her as well as the staff. I really think that her and her winning personality "sold" the Gardens at Park Balboa to my father. The facilities are dated, but everyone was so friendly including the residents that my father has decided to put down a deposit to secure an apartment. My mother is having so much difficulty navigating the stairs to their current apartment that my father wants to move as soon as possible.
Outstanding Cafeteria

The place was very pretty but this was for a man, 80 years old, that really can't hear. He's got prefect vision but he just needed more care than I thought he would have been able to get here and he couldn't have negotiated himself with the layout of the place.

I really liked Abby. She was super helpful with giving tips on how to deal with dementia and the transition to a new place.

Also [name removed] is an amazing caregiver, she takes good care of me always. I believe the food is top of the line. I don't have a problem with the building everything is excellent.

They promised a lot of things and actually followed through and met our expectations. I feel so relieved and it has given me great peace of mind. They do have tons of activities provided for the residents and a great variety. I would highly recommend them to others looking.
