Review of Pacifica Vista
reviewed on: 04/21/2020 by LindaI am writing to express my deep appreciation for your exceptional employee, [name removed], who consistently goes above and beyond in working with my dad, [name removed]. I am a retired RN and I live in Washington State, so my ability to visit with him in person is limited. On the days that [name removed] works with my dad, she consitently provides him with the respectful and gentle care that he responds so well to. I met [name removed] shortly after he moved in Pacifica. On that visit , I was impressed with her kind and caring ways and her genuine interest in understanding more about my dad. Since my dad arrived to your facility, he has become increasingly less verbal, so phone conversations with him have been somewhat challenging. On some of the days that [name removed] works with my him, she communicates with me to let know how he is doing, either through a text message or on the phone. She is also willing to take the time to set up her mobile phone so that I can FaceTime with my dad. He responds beautifully to this method of communication. When he sees my face, he lights up and he will engage with me. I treasure singing songs with him in his native language, French. I can show him pictures of family members and even put his brother, who lives in Washington, on the phone. They are able to see each other and converse in French. This means the world to my uncle. I last visited in February and was planning to visit again in March, but the Covid-19 virus necessitated our current stay at home order. I hope to visit him again, whenever it is deemed safe and the quarantine is lifted. I the meantime, I am grateful for the beautiful care he receives at Pacifica from your professional staff. And I remain immensely grateful that [name removed] works with him and offers him the personal care and understanding that helps him to thrive to the best of his ability.
A Good Visit Here
reviewed on: 06/22/2017 by AnonymousI had a visit set up and I saw nothing wrong with the community. They were 100% professional and gave a good tour. They had good feedback about the community. They also kept in touch regularly afterwards for a following up. I was happy with them and they were helpful.
Thank you for all that you do.
reviewed on: 04/15/2020 by K A GreaneyDear Karen, I want to take a moment to reach out to you to thank you and your staff for all that you are doing to keep my dad and the other residents safe during the COVID19 outbreak. As you know, it was only a little over a month or so after my dad, Richard Provost, began residing in the Independent Care section of Pacifica when we began to see that the virus was going to significantly impact everyone—especially the elderly. From the outset, you took every measure to keep him safe. And, I can’t begin to tell you how reassuring your emails, phone calls, and texts were. No matter how busy you undoubtedly were, you took the time to let me know the procedures that were being put in place. And it made me feel less scared for my dad. Also, I’d like to extend a huge shout out to Lorie Mauritzen. She makes a great first impression to all who enter Pacifica. My dad loves her! Lorie is always smiling, always helpful, always a pleasure to chat with. My dad truly appreciates his “personal team” : Carmen, Rowena, Nomarie and Carol. He tells me every week how clean Carmen keeps his room. “Oh, yeah, she does a great job.” And the others help him fill out his menu, take his daily temp, laugh and chat with him. All their interactions with him are so very important as he cannot see or hang out with his new friends at Pacifica. He tells me their stories, and how they are so friendly. While I feel sad that I cannot visit my dad and take him on outings, at least I know he is safe and well taken care of. And, for that, I am beyond grateful to you and your entire staff. YOU ARE ALL HEROES! Thank you all for putting your health on the line to protect my dad and the other residents. Stay safe, be well. Karen Greaney
They Do a Nice Job
reviewed on: 12/07/2017 by AnonymousMy loved one was at Rancho Vista for respite care, and overall, I feel that they do a really nice job there. The community is clean, and the staff is very caring. They have about a 1:6 nurse to resident ratio there, which is pretty good. The food is good here as well. I would recommend them for those with an average budget.
2nd choice
reviewed on: 11/20/2017 by AnonymousIt was a good tour the lady who did it was warm and very informative. She answered all of my questions. The memory care was divided into 3 units with maybe 7 residents and there is a possibility of no interaction with people the way that was set up. It was a clean and nice community. This was in the running for our 2nd place to choose. But we did go elsewhere.
