Review of Pacifica Vista
reviewed on: 04/21/2020 by DeniseWhen I chose Pacifica Vista ten months ago as the residence that would best serve my mom's needs, I did so because I was impressed with the staff. I'm so happy I made that choice. Sadly, under the current conditions for sheltering in place,my mom's physical and mental state and deteriorated but your staff has done a wonderful job of meeting her needs with such compassion even with the increased demands of their jobs brought on by COVID-19 conditions. I love the plan that you have implemented to have staff members visit the rooms of the residents and chat with them. I'm so grateful for the times that you and [name removed] have come to my mom's room, visited with her and shared your cell phones with her so that she and I could Facetime. This is the first time Mom has ever lived separately from family. Now that I can't visit, it has been a blessing that we have had the opportunity to see each other face-to-face by phone. Mom has always has a special bond with [name removed] who has been very kind to my mom, stopping by her room to visit and encourage Mom to attend activities. Mom talks about her regularly in our phone conversations. I am grateful to [name removed] and [name removed], head nursing staff, who initiate calls to me to keep me informed about how my mom is doing. They have both been helpful and responsive in coordinating and resolving issues related to medications, outside doctors' appointments and change in Mom's condition. [Name removed] has also be pivotal in helping to resolve problems quickly. I also love and admire [name removed] and [name removed] at the front desk. [Name removed]'s cheerful smile and enthusiastic greeting always makes me feel like she and I are old friends. She, also, goes above and beyond to solve any problem or request, even when it demands more of her time in a job that can be very hectic. [Name removed]'s peaceful, yet efficient demeanor is always so This has been a heartbreaking time for me as I watch my mom's decline and cannot be with her. I am so blessed to know that the people I have entrusted with her care are such competent, kind people who their work as a calling and not just as a job. Thank you, [name removed], for all you have done for my mom and all the residents of Pacifica Vista, particularly at this difficult time.
truly phenomenal!
reviewed on: 06/11/2015 by AnonymousMy mother is not the same person that I put in there. She has improved so much! I even took her to a urologist recently and the urologist was amazed at how much she has improved. The nursing staff and the caregivers are outstanding. They really take great care of the her. I have already told my son that when it's my time, Rancho Vista is where I want to go. It is a safe & secure place and the people there are phenomenal. I toured a few facilities, and Rancho Vista is by far the best. I literally had tears in my eyes when I first toured, thinking "there is no way this place is as good as you're saying" but it truly has been!

reviewed on: 06/29/2014 by RosalindI want to thank William [removed] for his impeccable care of others. He helped me find a place for my mother when I was at my wits end. He took over locating numerous homes for me with costs that were in my price range. He is a caring individual that truly does want to eliminate all of the headaches and dead ends that one comes up against when locating a home for an elderly person. May he be blessed always!
Thank you for all that you do.
reviewed on: 04/15/2020 by K A GreaneyDear Karen, I want to take a moment to reach out to you to thank you and your staff for all that you are doing to keep my dad and the other residents safe during the COVID19 outbreak. As you know, it was only a little over a month or so after my dad, Richard Provost, began residing in the Independent Care section of Pacifica when we began to see that the virus was going to significantly impact everyone—especially the elderly. From the outset, you took every measure to keep him safe. And, I can’t begin to tell you how reassuring your emails, phone calls, and texts were. No matter how busy you undoubtedly were, you took the time to let me know the procedures that were being put in place. And it made me feel less scared for my dad. Also, I’d like to extend a huge shout out to Lorie Mauritzen. She makes a great first impression to all who enter Pacifica. My dad loves her! Lorie is always smiling, always helpful, always a pleasure to chat with. My dad truly appreciates his “personal team” : Carmen, Rowena, Nomarie and Carol. He tells me every week how clean Carmen keeps his room. “Oh, yeah, she does a great job.” And the others help him fill out his menu, take his daily temp, laugh and chat with him. All their interactions with him are so very important as he cannot see or hang out with his new friends at Pacifica. He tells me their stories, and how they are so friendly. While I feel sad that I cannot visit my dad and take him on outings, at least I know he is safe and well taken care of. And, for that, I am beyond grateful to you and your entire staff. YOU ARE ALL HEROES! Thank you all for putting your health on the line to protect my dad and the other residents. Stay safe, be well. Karen Greaney
