Review of Pacifica Vista

reviewed on: 04/21/2020 by Dalene

My name is [name removed] and my parents currently live in the Pacifica Vista living facility. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to all staff at this facility during this trying time. I am sure this has been very difficult and I really appreciate all the steps they have taken to assure my parents and other residents are safe during this covid breakout. I especially would like to recognize the director [name removed] and the receptionist [name removed] at this facility. They always do such a remarkable job and always try to accommodate my every request in any way that they can. [Name removed] has always told me if I need anything, she is just a phone call away and provided me with her cell number to call or text her at any time. She always responds to me right away and has addressed all of my concerns almost immediately. [Name removed] really knows her job and in addition to that is just a all around wonderful person. There are some things you can teach but there are other things that you can't teach and that is the "IT" factor that [name removed] has on a daily basis. [Name removed] is always so pleasant and very quick at responding to my needs. She is so caring and expresses concern. I don't think she realizes how refreshed I feel when she answers the phone because I know that all my request will be taken care of. She NEVER forgets anything that I have requested and is such a friendly person to all of my family. There is power in kindness and both of these women always bring their own sunshine to work every day. In short, I appreciate you [name removed] and [name removed]. Thank you for all you do. If you have any further questions regarding my email, please do not hesitate to call. Thank you!

During this pandemic, the staff at Pacifica Vista has finally found a balance between keeping everyone safe, and allowing friends and family quality visit time. I can’t thank them enough for doing so much for the seniors living there.

The staff are all great. The rooms are clean, they recently underwent a renovation. This has been an excellent environment for my loved one. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

Sweet Kind Community

Everything is working out pretty well for my mother in law with her move to this community. It is a nice place. The staff is very kind and sweet. The only issue I have had, is they told us their responsive time to being paged is 2 to 5 minutes, but I've noticed it could take them up to 45 minutes to respond. Other than that issue they do have activities available for the residents. The meals are decent. We are comfortable with the care she being provided with. It is a nice place, and I would recommend it.

Thank you for all that you do.

Dear Karen, I want to take a moment to reach out to you to thank you and your staff for all that you are doing to keep my dad and the other residents safe during the COVID19 outbreak. As you know, it was only a little over a month or so after my dad, Richard Provost, began residing in the Independent Care section of Pacifica when we began to see that the virus was going to significantly impact everyone—especially the elderly. From the outset, you took every measure to keep him safe. And, I can’t begin to tell you how reassuring your emails, phone calls, and texts were. No matter how busy you undoubtedly were, you took the time to let me know the procedures that were being put in place. And it made me feel less scared for my dad. Also, I’d like to extend a huge shout out to Lorie Mauritzen. She makes a great first impression to all who enter Pacifica. My dad loves her! Lorie is always smiling, always helpful, always a pleasure to chat with. My dad truly appreciates his “personal team” : Carmen, Rowena, Nomarie and Carol. He tells me every week how clean Carmen keeps his room. “Oh, yeah, she does a great job.” And the others help him fill out his menu, take his daily temp, laugh and chat with him. All their interactions with him are so very important as he cannot see or hang out with his new friends at Pacifica. He tells me their stories, and how they are so friendly. While I feel sad that I cannot visit my dad and take him on outings, at least I know he is safe and well taken care of. And, for that, I am beyond grateful to you and your entire staff. YOU ARE ALL HEROES! Thank you all for putting your health on the line to protect my dad and the other residents. Stay safe, be well. Karen Greaney
