Good but not great.
reviewed on: 04/22/2014 by AnonymousI was so impressed by the warmth and friendliness of the staff at Palm Gardens. My dad is a wanderer and was able to 'escape' from the locked facility twice. He was readily found both times, however, it was scary to think what might have happened. I understand they have made the necessary changes to prevent this from happening again.
It is working for us
reviewed on: 09/19/2017 by AnonymousDad is in the memory care unit and the staff are very good. They are caring and thoughtful. The food is not their strong point and there is not a lot of choices. The community is clean and here is an outside area for the residents. I would recommend this community.
Right Fit at the Right Time

The only complaint is that my loved one was there for a couple of months and none of the staff helped to get my loved one unpacked. I ended up helping my loved one get their belongs on the shelves and walls. The time my loved one was here was during the pandemic.

reviewed on: 11/04/2015 by AnonymousMom is no longer at Palm Gardens. She was in the memory care unit but she was one of the more advanced residents. Most of the other residents would just stare at her or cuss her out. She can carry on a total conversation and they cant. We didn't feel like she could be in one of their regular rooms however, because we were afraid she would just go out the front door. I don't feel like the people working in memory care were very professional. They didn't seem to be trained. They were more of minimum wage workers. They were nice and did an okay job. The one thing that kind of bothered me is mom saw them remove a ladies body down the hall. I know this may not be able to be avoided but for someone that was already wanting to come home it certainly didn't help. All the staff was nice there. It just wasn't the right place for her.
