reviewed on: 07/18/2016 by AnonymousMy father lived at the Boulder Mary Sandoe house for several years before they decided his dementia was becoming so bad they could no longer take care of him. I realized after moving him out of his room and seeing piles of trash and dirty laundry that he was not receiving any sort of help with personal care or keeping his room clean. On top of that, the director of activities sent us to John's new home with the incorrect medication, which is taking weeks to sort out. I am now convinced for years he was also receiving incorrect meds at the Mary Sandoe House. Now that my father is no longer with the Sandoe House and is with a much better-organized assisted living facility, I feel comfortable bringing up these issues. I still worry about the quality of care for Mary Sandoe residents who my father came to call very good friends over the years.

reviewed on: 10/23/2018 by Mary LiuI was a resident at The Mary Sandoe House for three months. The staff excluding 3 people were always taken aback when someone would call for help if one was lucky to have show up. The staff were hand picked by the Director to suit her social awareness needs and not fior the better of the residents. They were often bully’s if they were interrupted from the special meetings with the Director who would often yell out names or call a resident to her office. Residents were often berated in front if others with no consideration for any person. It truly felt and talking with others it felt like a form of prison and that the residents had to be worthy of the staff. Eating meals with everyone being so miserable and truly frightening and traumatic. Again, I came from a nursing home and if I had known how it was, I would have not left the Nursing home. The only thing right about The Mary Sandoe is the view of the Flatirons. To sum it up. A very unwelcoming place no introduction t
