Nice looking place
reviewed on: 08/14/2015 by AnonymousI toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, my loved one was a bit beyond the level of care they provide here. It is definitely worth a look for those looking into assisted living, however!

reviewed on: 12/19/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerWe were impressed with the facility and think this might be a good option. We liked the layout of the studio apt. and the warm feeling we got when touring.
Friendly, accommodating staff!
reviewed on: 11/09/2015 by AnonymousMy loved one has only been here a few weeks but so far our experience with Brookdale Mountain Laurel has been a very good one! The staff here is wonderful, they're just really nice people! They've been incredibly accommodating, and they get right on top of any request or suggestions you make! The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they take great care of the people who live here! It is very expensive, however.
Mixed feelings due Covid
reviewed on: 04/21/2021 by anonymousOver the past almost year, there have been some very friendly people. And there have been some people that, had they been my only impression of the facility, I wouldn't have put my loved one in it. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know which you're going to get. It could be a reflection that they're stressed out due to Covid. When we've gone in to visit, the person who's there to screen you doesn't always acknowledge you, or people have been standing there talking blocking the front desk, and the staff doesn't move those people to help you sign in. It's just frustrating when that's happening multiple times. The overall facility appears to be clean, but I haven't been able to go to the dining room or other public areas. They're cleaning the apartments, but my loved one's chair hasn't been dusted sometimes, and the bathroom wasn't always clean when I visited. There's nothing glaringly bad here, but there's also not been anything I've been able to say "Oh that's so wonderful" about. Sometimes there's a lag in communication. I'd like to see them have an out of office response on emails that directs you to call elsewhere if you need immediate assistance with an issue. It's been tough with a loved one who has some memory issues. We can't always rely on her comments 100% in determining if something did or didn't happen. And then there's a lag in the staff getting back to you when you try to clear things up. That's just frustrating. I know it's a tough situation for everyone to handle right now during Covid. . .
I would recommend
reviewed on: 05/04/2021 by anonymousWe chose Addison Place because of the pricing, it was was all inclusive so you did not have to pay extra for anything like medications. They were good with communication. Some of the staff members really went above and beyond for our loved one. It was a good experience and I would recommend them.
