Great tour with Jeff. The A...
reviewed on: 06/13/2013 by A Place For Mom CustomerGreat tour with Jeff. The Alzheimer's community had lots of activities. Observed an ongoing one that was excellent. Loved the fact that the community was right next to a skilled nursing center. Price may be the only drawback. Was the highest of those visited so far.
Great Assisted Living
reviewed on: 09/18/2013 by AnneThis had assisted living too and it would have been my second choice. It's very clean and if my mother could have been in assisted living versus memory care that would have been my first choice. They did have a floor for memory care but there were a very limited number of rooms.
I would recommend
reviewed on: 05/04/2021 by anonymousWe chose Addison Place because of the pricing, it was was all inclusive so you did not have to pay extra for anything like medications. They were good with communication. Some of the staff members really went above and beyond for our loved one. It was a good experience and I would recommend them.
Mixed feelings due Covid
reviewed on: 04/21/2021 by anonymousOver the past almost year, there have been some very friendly people. And there have been some people that, had they been my only impression of the facility, I wouldn't have put my loved one in it. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know which you're going to get. It could be a reflection that they're stressed out due to Covid. When we've gone in to visit, the person who's there to screen you doesn't always acknowledge you, or people have been standing there talking blocking the front desk, and the staff doesn't move those people to help you sign in. It's just frustrating when that's happening multiple times. The overall facility appears to be clean, but I haven't been able to go to the dining room or other public areas. They're cleaning the apartments, but my loved one's chair hasn't been dusted sometimes, and the bathroom wasn't always clean when I visited. There's nothing glaringly bad here, but there's also not been anything I've been able to say "Oh that's so wonderful" about. Sometimes there's a lag in communication. I'd like to see them have an out of office response on emails that directs you to call elsewhere if you need immediate assistance with an issue. It's been tough with a loved one who has some memory issues. We can't always rely on her comments 100% in determining if something did or didn't happen. And then there's a lag in the staff getting back to you when you try to clear things up. That's just frustrating. I know it's a tough situation for everyone to handle right now during Covid. . .
