aren't enough activities
reviewed on: 09/15/2015 by AnonymousMy father complains that aren't enough activities at Brookdale Atrium Way . He gets really bored there. Other than that things are going pretty well here. It has been an overall good experience for him.
Good activities and food
reviewed on: 10/18/2019 by CarmanI’m happy to here. Great activities and we even have a country store at the community, it’s incredible and convenient for people who don’t want to go on the shopping trips but need something. The food is always good and keeps me full. I love my apartment, it’s perfect for me.
Homey atmosphere
reviewed on: 11/09/2019 by TinaMoving to Brookdale Atrium Way was the best thing I ever did for myself. I felt at home the minute I walked in to visit the community, it has such a homey atmosphere. The staff is friendly & caring and they take the time to get to know the residents, call them by name, smile, and speak to them. There is always something to do, I’ve never had so much fun in my life and there are plenty of opportunities to stay involved. Brookdale Atrium Way is a very encouraging place and I love that it’s a pet friendly place, I have both of my cats and they love sitting out on the balcony in the kitty condo.
Before you sign anywhere else, make sure you check this place out.
reviewed on: 10/01/2021 by Dr. Shelly HIt's a great place. They've had some challenges, as most places have due to Covid. But they've handled it very well and stayed on top of it. I always felt like Mom was very safe. The staff is great, from the sales person when we first looked into Fountains, to all of her aides and nurses. They've all been wonderful. Mom loves the food, and that's coming from a really good cook. Not every meal is perfect, but overall she's really happy with the food. They provide a lot of opportunities for activities. Recently they had a guy come in and play guitar for Oldies karaoke, and they served red wine and beer, which I thought was a great time. The value here is excellent. It's an older facility, and It used to be called The Atrium. Some places we looked at were brand new and shiny, and you felt like you were in a hotel. Fountains feels more like you're in someone's home. And to me that made all the difference. That type of setting isn't for everybody, but I like that about it for Mom. They have all the Fall decorations up, and it's really very inviting and welcoming. It's a great setting. It sits over little canals that run under and through the buildings with bridges crossing over them. It's a really cool place. The sales director connected me to a place called Caring Transitions since we live out of state. They've been a godsend. They provided services to help clear mom's home and run an estate sale. They took care of everything, and their fee was very reasonable. They also have a moving service and moved mom. And they have a realtor service as well. It's truly a one stop shop, and it was perfect for us. They're very friendly, caring people, and I appreciated the folks at Fountains connecting me to that service.
They are only concerned about money
reviewed on: 01/04/2018 by AnonymousMy Father lived here but I moved him out after only three weeks. It is a very large community and they seem to only be concerned about money. Before my dad even got here they were supposed to send someone to assess him but to my knowledge that never happened. I feel like the care he needed, they could not provide without it costing a lot of extra money. While he was here, I had to leave work so I could walk him from his room to the dining hall and give him his medications. While he was in the dining room it sometimes took 10 to 15 minutes for them to even take his order. It is a beautiful facility but it does have a funky smell like a gas station bathroom that doesn’t get cleaned as often as it should. When I told the staff that I was going to move him, their attitudes changed and they were helping my Father left and right.
