Community Reviews
Nice community spirit
reviewed on: 04/11/2015 by LoriMy mother lives at Century Oaks. She really likes it there. It's clean, comfortable and safe. She has her independence but doesn't have to deal with grocery shopping, cooking or cleaning. She says the staff are very professional and compassionate. Even though she's only been there are few months, she's made friends. I am very pleased that my Mother is happy and safe.
Very Pleased
reviewed on: 12/19/2013 by Daughter-In-LawExcellent value, my father-in-law is in the locked down unit, he has Alzheimer's/dementia. They have bible study 3x a week, and church services there. They do rides on Fridays, they take them out for joy rides. He wasn't happy before, but he really likes Century Oaks. It seems to have a consistent crew, and he is receiving much better care than before. They are good, they call with any issue or problem, and we are very pleased. I wish they did a little more with an area to congregate, they only have the dining room and the area by the nurses station to hang out. The memory unit is very small, very confined. It's a short hallway, not more than 20 people. It would be nice if the residents could get out of the locked down floors and do things with other residents. It's a give and take, better service, but a more confined area. The food is great, if he doesn't like what they are feeding him they always have hamburgers. He loves hamburgers!
They bent over backwards
reviewed on: 05/21/2015 by AnonymousThey bent over backwards to make accommodations for my parents. They were able to shuffle other people around so that my dad could have a more convenient location when walking to the dining room. They really listened to our concerns and did the best to react. I feel very comfortable that my parents are there and I know that there taken care of. My overall rating of this property is 4 stars. It has been a good experience.
Starting the Transition with My Parents
reviewed on: 11/21/2016 by AnonymousMy parents are safe in the community and cared for by the staff. I have not got a call about dad falling yet however, my parents are taking their time to get use to the community. The staff have been friendly and welcoming. With their help they are doing alright and I have not heard a complaint about the meals they eat. It is a clean community with good housekeeping for my parent's room. My parents are much of joiners but activities are offered. I choose this community because of the location and price.
Great help from Amy, A Place For Mom
reviewed on: 09/07/2016 by Karen SpinnlerThank you Amy for all your help!! It was a lot of new learning curves for me to move my parents to FL from NM, where they lived independantly to assisted living. Amy helped me with so many items, monies, gap loans, VA and of course all the places to visit and people to connect with to do so, NEVER could have done it all without A Place For Mom.
