A good choice for our aunt
reviewed on: 12/01/2018 by AnonymousMy husbands aunt have been here since 2007. She started in the independent floor and sadly is now in the memory floor. The place have been through a lot of changes with management and nurses and occupational therapist, and aides , housekeeper , clerks/ secretaries all those years and our aunt have gone through all those and we must say that there are good and bad in those changes but we are still glad that she picked century oaks . Through all the change of hands we are thankful to have met people that have taken care of her and some who still are. We are happy right now for Clifford who have treat her like his own family his selfless act of kindness towards her is exemplary! We wish there are more Cliffords in this place to take care of the elderly! We are far from our Aunt because this is how she wanted it to be , but we are at ease that Century Oak is taking care of her
Starting the Transition with My Parents
reviewed on: 11/21/2016 by AnonymousMy parents are safe in the community and cared for by the staff. I have not got a call about dad falling yet however, my parents are taking their time to get use to the community. The staff have been friendly and welcoming. With their help they are doing alright and I have not heard a complaint about the meals they eat. It is a clean community with good housekeeping for my parent's room. My parents are much of joiners but activities are offered. I choose this community because of the location and price.
It has been a very good experience
reviewed on: 06/05/2015 by AnonymousOverall it has been a very good experience. All of the people have been very accommodating and helpful. The facility is very nice, comfortable, and spacious. The staff and residents are all very friendly. It has been a good fit for my mother. Holly was the person who contacted me. She was very helpful and very friendly. The Century Oaks is a very nice place and I'm just glad that it has been a good fit for my mom.
Very Pleased
reviewed on: 12/19/2013 by Daughter-In-LawExcellent value, my father-in-law is in the locked down unit, he has Alzheimer's/dementia. They have bible study 3x a week, and church services there. They do rides on Fridays, they take them out for joy rides. He wasn't happy before, but he really likes Century Oaks. It seems to have a consistent crew, and he is receiving much better care than before. They are good, they call with any issue or problem, and we are very pleased. I wish they did a little more with an area to congregate, they only have the dining room and the area by the nurses station to hang out. The memory unit is very small, very confined. It's a short hallway, not more than 20 people. It would be nice if the residents could get out of the locked down floors and do things with other residents. It's a give and take, better service, but a more confined area. The food is great, if he doesn't like what they are feeding him they always have hamburgers. He loves hamburgers!
We are really happy with them.
reviewed on: 02/07/2014 by Family of Terrie C.We are really happy with them. It was a much better rate than we had been paying at other places. I give them a five plus for value. They are non profit and have an all inclusive rate. They call immediately if there is ever anything going on. We don't use the activities really so I can't comment much on that, but I know they offer a lot of things to do. But it is a hurricane safe building. Each room has their own private shower, so they don't have to go to the shower room. We have been really happy with the administration there, they are very accommodating.
