Review of Rose Garden of Orlando

Our experience at Rose Garden
reviewed on: 04/21/2021 by VEMy experience with the administration was not good, because there was very poor communication. My loved one passed, and nobody called to say they were sorry about that, other than one of the ladies who worked closest with my loved one. When I was concerned about things and would call them, there was no answer. And they wouldn't call me back. They would talk to my sister, but not to me. I don't know if they were concerned that I was asking too many questions or wanting too many things. I would talk to them when I would come to visit and tell them they needed to communicate with me and give me updates. They would say "Oh, so and so was supposed to talk to you." So they were giving information to another person but not directly to me. When my loved one fell and hit her head and had a hematoma, they called my sister and not me. Another complaint I have is that the medication was supposed to be through one specific pharmacy. They told me if I wanted to use my own pharmacy, I had to pay $500 a month just to use a different pharmacy. So basically they were forcing us to use their pharmacy. On the more positive side, the people who worked closely with my loved one provided good care. When I would call her, she would often be dong activities, like painting, watching a movie, doing exercises. She had dementia, and I felt like they took good care of her there. When we would go outside, she would tell me she needed to get out of there and go home. She would take my hand to go home, but she would go right back in the door there - even in her confusion, that was where she felt safe and felt was her home. It was expensive, but when compared to other places, it was about the same.
