A Happy Place To Live
reviewed on: 08/08/2015 by AnonymousAll the staff was very friendly and very loving and very helpful and all the patients we saw there looked happy and they knew them all by name. In general Seaside Manor seemed like a really happy place to live.
Review of Seaside Manor - Ormond Beach, FL
reviewed on: 03/18/2016 by AnonymousLoved it. Very clear and clean air as soon as I entered. Was greeted by Jeannie [Removed] with whom I had an appointment. Lovely lady warm and welcoming manner. Quaint decor simple cottage-type of feel. Was introduced to residents and staff along the tour. Everyone pleasant residents happy. Calm and orderly atmosphere. Very productive meeting with Jeannie did not feel pressured. She answered my questions with complete understanding of my needs. She got me right away. The apartments are a good size offer what you need. This was my first visit. I felt so at home. And had full confidence that my mother would feel comfortable and calm. I know she would be safe and secure . The fact that it is a small residence appealed to me.
All Downhill During Loved Ones 3 year Stay.
reviewed on: 08/17/2015 by AnonymousThis facility was previously named Hampton Manor and was owned and operated the Concordis Corp. At that time the care provided to loved ones was quite good and the staff was adequate ,and overall conditions were acceptable. Then approximately 1 1/2 years ago the facility was sold and changed its name to Seaside manor and began operations under the Saber Healthcare Corp. From that point to the present the services provided have continued to deteriorate to unacceptable levels. staff has been reduced and many more patients added. Under the new operators there has been 4 on site directors who have come and gone and it appears corporate focus is excessively profit driven. Good and experienced caregivers, overwhelmed by their workload have quit and replaced by under trained and inexperienced personnel who again don't remain long enough to adapt to the individual needs of those under their care. Present management has chosen to fill the facility to capacity while simultaneously reducing staff resulting in unsafe conditions with patients suffering frequent injuries requiring trips to emergency rooms and hospitals. Dinner hours in the dementia section are extremely overcrowded and unsafe and meals are poorly prepared ,tasteless and frequently served cold. There are NUMEROUS OTHER serious problems related to the poor quality of care at this facility, and in closing i would advise anyone contemplating placing a loved one with a care provider to PASS UP SEASIDE MANOR.
VERY DISATIFIED
reviewed on: 08/11/2015 by Ricquel SmithPlaced my mother in Seaside Manor for assisted living like her Dr evaluated that level of care. Soon after she was there they called and said they had moved her to the next level...They moved her without consulting with me first and they knew I couldn't afford the higher amount, and that I was out of state and couldn't take her out of there I was and have been out of state when they moved her.. Now I have to get back down there and figure out what to do next...Plus they want the extra money that i dont have. They don't seem to want to bother with my mother. Her health has gotten worse since in there also..I have to get her out of there and find something else. They obviously care more about getting more money, than the people they should be taking better care of. Very Upset, Ricquel
Not Good At Following Through With What They Promised
reviewed on: 06/22/2016 by AnonymousOur experiences with this community have not been good. They are not taking good care of my mother in law at all. They provide bad care, and the staff are not good a following instructions. Everything they promised us they never followed through with. The community is not well maintained. At one point my mother in law had unexplained bruises on her arms. They are very under staffed. I would not recommend this community to anybody.
