Tour of HarborChase
reviewed on: 11/05/2021 by anonymousIt was a great facility, we just did not think the layout would fit our loved one. It is multiple floors so we were worried about the stairs/elevators.
Nice looking place
reviewed on: 02/13/2015 by AnonymousWe toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This was a nice looking facility. It was clean and well kept, although not very warm or homey feeling. The staff we spoke with all seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another facility, but this is one we were definitely considering.
Very Poor Communication and Follow Through at this Community
reviewed on: 07/08/2021 by SallyI would tell others that it is a gorgeous community with lots of activities. The staff is friendly. The communication between the physicians, nurses, and physical therapy is extremely poor. Also, the follow through is extremely poor. I would speak to the administrators about my concerns and it would improve for a day or so, and then it would go back to the way it was prior. If you have a person who is able to care for themselves this would be a good place for them. If you have an individual that needs additional care, this community won't be as apt. The community doesn't have a care plan for the aides to review for each resident.
A good tour
reviewed on: 08/16/2017 by AnonymousWe liked this community when we visited. This community does offer a nurse on staff twenty four hours a day. This community was our first choice, however they did not have a room available at the time we were looking. The people we met were nice and the community looked clean.
A great place to enjoy your senior years.
reviewed on: 06/08/2015 by AnonymousI am very happy with the cleanliness and the helpfulness of the staff at Harbor Chase. If my mother is happy, then I am happy. A long story, but we have been a part of and seen several facilities and this facility is like staying in a luxury hotel! But, like all places, with the good there is always some not so good. I am a little disappointed in the medical facilities. I understood that there was more care when someone was sick. I don't feel confident in the staff noticing someone who is under the weather or in need of additional care. Also, we still have to take my mother to the Doctor and that was part of the responsibilities I understood we would get help with. They can take her, but she is left there alone. I understand it, but if your parent is not capable of answering all the questions properly or remembering the responses, you must still take them. That was not made clear. The dining area is beautiful, but the food seems to be the biggest disappointment to most of the residents. I am told by Harbor Chase that they are trying to figure out a solution to this. In the meantime, a group of residents are trying to get a group voice to show more power in their grievance, but the food maintains to be what I am told... is a dull flavor and often over done status. The staff there seems to be quite willing to work on problems and make people happy. It is always a pleasure to see the young man at the front desk. He is attentive, kind and sharp. That alone is much more than you see most anywhere else! They don't even notice if someone is leaving no matter a resident or not. All in all, we feel blessed to be at Harbor Chase.
