Friendly staff
reviewed on: 01/12/2015 by AnonymousThe communication wasn't that great. We had to talk about communication and how they should talk to me regarding issues with my mom. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable when I toured the facility.
My review of Heron House
reviewed on: 11/12/2020 by AnonymousHeron House was very clean. They did a great job at keeping their residents safe during the pandemic. We chose this facility in the beginning based on the location and a recommendation from a friend who had a good experience here. One issue we had with Heron House was that they are limited with their care, they were only able to provide a fixed level of care. When he needed more, he would have to move out of the facility which caused issues.
A Great Experience
reviewed on: 08/24/2021 by JenniferThey provided a great welcome. Our family member is happy there. All the residents seem nice and friendly. The staff are very caring, always smiling and friendly, and they take great care of him. They handle his medications well. He likes the food, which they're very prompt in serving. There's a lot of it, and a lot of options. They also offer plenty of activities. We have no complaints.
Down home comfort!
reviewed on: 07/30/2013 by Thelma F.When I toured Heron House I was impressed with the fact that it felt like home. The staff was extra nice and welcomed me with open arms. As a new resident, I wanted to tell families that I came from living in my own home all of my life. I searched high and low for weeks until I found the perfect place for me. It was important to me that the community I choose was comfortable, clean and was able to help me with my medicine. I also wanted to stay busy. I am not one to sit around. Since I have been here I have made friends through the garden club, card games, movie nights and next week I am signed up to go fishing at one of the local piers. I can't wait! I am so glad I am here!
Heron House for My Mom
reviewed on: 10/12/2021 by CulkinMy Mom recently moved to Heron, after an injury determined she was no longer able to live alone. It was a worrisome process to find an Assisted Living facility that would meet our expectations: that Mom is well taken care of (Physically & Mentally), she is comfortable in her new surrounding and the facility is maintained clean. All our expectations have been met to date! She it cared for properly and as described she would be. It's a relief to know that now, Mom has her medications administered timely and she receives 3 square meals a day! There are continual daily activities and Mom is participating and socializing more now, than in years! Most important is the Staff at HH Sarasota, whom I feel all work very hard. Separately, I applaud Suzanne Leslie (Manager at Heron) who was extremely helpful in explaining guidelines to us, prior to Mom moving. She has gone out of her way to ensure Mom's needs, and our expectations, are continually met!
