Community Reviews
They have heart and they care.
reviewed on: 01/01/2020 by Barbara LyonsWe were searching for a facility for our sister who was in her mid 70’s and was suffering from mild dementia. She had been admitted to the hospital for extremely high blood pressure and, as may be your experience, we didn’t know from day to day what was going to happen with her. We eventually found out that a UTI had made her condition worse but once on antibiotics, she improved. Short story, we thought she would at least go to rehab after hospitalization but the good doctors at the hospital and her caseworker said she didn’t need rehab and could go home. She couldn’t and we knew it so now we had hours to adjust our plans. We had visited Brighton just that day and loved it, as well as influenced by recommendations from good friends who had family placed here. We toured for several hours and worked with Giovanni to arrange her residence, starting in rehab which now wasn’t going to happen. After hospital decision about no rehab and immediate discharge, we were scrambling to get her straight to assisted living. Even though plans had changed radically, and it was New Year’s Eve, Giovanni came back to the facility late evening to help us arrange to get her a room in assisted living. What a relief to walk back in there after our day and see him sitting there to help us. Words cannot express our appreciation of his dedication and assistance. Unfortunately our sister passed that night. We will, however, be grateful to Giovanni and Brighton for guiding us so gently and personally through such a traumatic time. The staff is highly tenured, friendly, and we paid special attention to how they interacted with each other and their residents. The facility was clean and well managed. You might find a more expensive facility, but for the heart of what your loved ones need right now Brighton is highly recommended.
Nice tour

Brighton Gardens rocks
reviewed on: 09/09/2020 by AnonymousWe haven't been there since COVID, but when we were able to visit this community was kept clean. They had a singing choir at this community which our loved one really enjoyed. They had games and guest speakers. They had musicians come in and perform, as well as exercise classes. We really liked how this community was bright and cheery looking, and it didn't have any weird smells. The food at this community is really good our loved one enjoys the food there. The only thing we had a problem with lately is the communication. They have changed nurses and at first the nurse was calling us every week during COVID to give us updates, and then every other week, and now she has stopped calling. We would just like for the communication to be improved a little bit
