reviewed on: 07/01/2013 by A Place For Mom CustomerIf I were to move my mother, this would be the place. The staff made me feel very comfortable. The only reason I am not moving her is that her current facility is willing to work with me on the financial part.
Governor's Glen is very cle...
reviewed on: 12/06/2013 by A Place For Mom CustomerGovernor's Glen is very clean and inviting. It feels like a home with all of the care available that my aunt will need. The food smelled wonderful, and the kitchen was also very clean. The rooms were very large, and there appears to be a high level of personal care in the units with the lower functioning patients. We are very thrilled that we will be able to afford to have my aunt cared for in such a nice place during her last days.
Be prepared to supplement your loved one with different food
reviewed on: 10/20/2020 by AnonymousWe chose Governors Glen because it was strictly a memory care facility and very close to my house, that way I could go visit often. She went from a very large room to a single room here, so it was on the smaller side. One big complaint we had was the food. It was not fresh and by the time it was served, it was cold. They served things like hot dogs and french fries and did not offer any condiments to go along with the meals. There were also not a lot of activities that I was aware of at all, and I would pick up the calendar weekly. From what I saw, this facility seemed clean and the staff members were nice, but they were not very interactive with the residents.
