It was one of the best things I've ever done for her. The staff gets a six for being friendly. Sometimes they can't always give them what they want and they were able to talk to them in a way as to not upset them. They didn't really have a lot of activities, but it's difficult with the weather and the different levels of care of the residents. I liked the location and I noticed a big difference in the cleanliness and the level of the staff, compared to others I visited. There is one thing I would say, and it's not really them it's a sign of the times, the doors are open 24/7, and once there was a drunk guy in the neighborhood and he fell in the driveway and people are working late and maybe the door should be locked at night, even though they have an alarm.

reviewed on: 01/15/2014 by AnonymousThe staff was very nice and helpful. They were caring and wanted to help find the right fit for my Mom. You could tell they cared about their residents and were dedicated to what they do. The Home was an old building but well maintained with old antique furnishings. It had a nice open common area for games and television. The resident rooms felt dreary with little light. I felt like I was in my grandmothers house and had gone back in time.

reviewed on: 12/23/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerLiked facility very much. Not best fit for my mom. She would be more comfortable with more closet space and is used to a newer facility with more upscale 'feel'. Very impressed with the Director and staff. If her health declines, I would definitely consider this residence for her.
