Good Communication
reviewed on: 11/17/2021 by TiffanyI would recommend Azalea Manor to others for their loved ones. The staff interaction has been good. The caseworker, hospice care coordinator, and the Executive Director have been good about reaching out to me to keep me involved in my loved one's care.
Making life easy for my 100 year old grandfather.
reviewed on: 01/10/2018 by R. DelanoMy grandfather moved in to Azalea Manor just over a year ago in August 2017. It took him a few months to get use to the change. He is now in his 100th year and loves the staff and has made some friends. He can be challenging at times, when he is feeling down or doesn't want to take wanting to take his medication etc. but there is always some one on staff that knows how to smile, be patient, and help him out. My dad and I visit him two or three times a week and he is usually snoozing in his recliner, hanging out in the common area, or sitting on the front porch.
They were great! They have been wonderful, the staff, the care, the personal attention they give the residents.

It was one of the best things I've ever done for her. The staff gets a six for being friendly. Sometimes they can't always give them what they want and they were able to talk to them in a way as to not upset them. They didn't really have a lot of activities, but it's difficult with the weather and the different levels of care of the residents. I liked the location and I noticed a big difference in the cleanliness and the level of the staff, compared to others I visited. There is one thing I would say, and it's not really them it's a sign of the times, the doors are open 24/7, and once there was a drunk guy in the neighborhood and he fell in the driveway and people are working late and maybe the door should be locked at night, even though they have an alarm.
Family Run and Caring
reviewed on: 11/12/2013 by ScarlettAzalea Manor is run by a family of people who are caring, aware of each person's needs and in contact with the family. Just today the Charge Nurse, Barbara, contacted me about a conversation she had with my MIL. Each time I take my MIL to the doctor they are happy to print out current medications listings for me and make sure that meds are sent along with us. The smells wafting from the kitchen are tempting, even when we are on our way to a lunch date with friends. The facility isn't brand spanking new, but it is decently maintained and comfortable.
