Better ratio of staff to residents
reviewed on: 09/21/2017 by AnonymousOur loved one seems to be settling into Brookside Stone Mountain. The facility is an older establishment that could use some updating and refreshing. But they are taking good care of his needs. The staff is friendly and caring. We moved him to this facility for better care and more attentive staff members Also there isn't as many residents in the memory care section here, only about 12. There were about 60 in the previous facility he was at. There is a better staff to resident ratio here. The staff members are pretty easy to talk to about any questions or concerns regarding our loved one's well-being. It seems like he is enjoying his meals. It is in a convenient location where we come and take him out a few times a week. It fit our budget needs.
Good community, but some staff lacked training.
reviewed on: 08/25/2020 by AnonymousThis community is close to us, which we liked. But they were understaffed most of the time, and seemed to be lacking training, it could of been so much better. Some of the staff was very and some of the staff was horrible, however they did take care of her. I did see her every day which i believe helped her get more care. You do have to make your presence known. They did have a couple of exercise classes for the residents, they would throw the ball to each other. Sometimes they would have holiday parties, entertainment come in to sing to the,. They tried to keep them active the best they could. We cleaned the rooms ourselves, but they were good size, they had a big window that provided fresh sunlight
Comfortable Living !!
reviewed on: 10/11/2016 by AnonymousThis community has made sure my mom has felt comfortable and safe in her new living environment. The line of communication between the staff and myself could have some improvement, but overall I have little to no complaints about this facility and would recommend it to anyone.
