Fabulous Place!
reviewed on: 10/25/2021 by WWHello - Normally I don't leave reviews. To be honest, I've always been very suspicious of them. However, I feel it very necessary to write this review for those of you who are searching for a Senior Living Facility. I've lived at Discovery Village @ Sugarloaf for 6 months now and I can truly speak with all honesty when I tell you that this place is absolutely "WONDERFUL". The ED is very attentive to all the residents, their problems, issues, and concerns, and is dedicated to their comfort & safety while residing here at Discovery Village @ Sugarloaf. e facility daily. The grounds are kept neat, the facility is constantly being monitored and cleaned. I can't speak highly enough about the staff, who are all extremely professional, caring and above all, motivated to providing support for all residents. There is an atmosphere of warmth and family, throughout the community, which makes you feel right at home, comfortable and safe. I truly love it here, and I believe you will to.
Seemed nice, but expensive
reviewed on: 09/25/2015 by AnonymousI toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. This was a very nice looking place, it was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, it was also very expensive. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.
Changes In Management
reviewed on: 10/13/2016 by AnonymousMy mother is getting settled into this community. They had some changes in the management and the chef of the community. Hopefully with these changes the community is run well. It is a nice clean facility, it is well maintained. The staff is kind and friendly. Overall it still a work in progress of us here at this community.
Thankful that my dad is somewhere safe and happy.
reviewed on: 06/04/2021 by KDEveryone is very nice and helpful. The facility has a lot of activities for people to do on a daily basis. They have a swim/pool party, lots of barbecues, concerts on the weekends with live bands or singers. And my dad really enjoys that. They'll take the residents the to the park or to go fishing, and some days they'll go to Walmart or Kroger's. They had a big gathering for Memorial Day. They have regular game nights, with checkers, chess, charades, Trivial Pursuit, Jeopardy. They really have a lot going on. It's pretty clean. It seems like a whole big family environment, the employees and the residents. The food is pretty good. My only criticism would be the seasoning. I know they can't put too much salt/pepper for older people, and I understand why they do that, because some people can't eat certain things. It's actually great quality for the cost.
