Assisted Living Rules and Regulations in Idaho

A lot of research and thought goes into choosing an assisted living community for yourself or a loved one. Many states offer public access to assisted living records and licenses which can help consumers make an informed decision. Public Records and License Status

While not all their data is located in one place, Idaho does provide a high level of transparency and accessibility into assisted living records. To view a list of licensed providers and their background information visit the Residential Care and Assisted Living Consumers’ Page and select “Facility Lists.” To view more information about the facilities select, “Facility Survey/Inspections Reports.”

Violations and Resident Protection

Idaho provides a list of licensed communities online that is updated frequently but is not searchable. They also post updated information regarding violations, inspections, survey results and complaints online. Idaho shows information about special licensing at the facilities as well as capacity information and contact information. They do not share pricing information or payment types accepted at each facility.

In Idaho, inspections are performed every 36 months and the state can fine facilities for non-compliance.
