Excellent facility
reviewed on: 08/09/2013 by Peter RThe Sunrise facility, services, and staff were excellent in every way. I was extremely comforted in the manner in which they cared for my father. I have recommended Sunrise to others.
We're in the right place.
reviewed on: 04/13/2018 by AnonymousMy wife has been in memory care for more than two years at Sunrise of Barrington. She has received the attention necessary to address and serve the types of personalities and behavior one would expect of an Alzheimer patient. For two hours six days a week I observe the care staff when I feed lunch to her and I have established a friendly relationship with all of them. I like the hustle and alertness they give daily for the residents, a result of their training. Management has been approachable and receptive to suggestions, and concerns are quickly considered. Senior care is a competitive and profitable industry as more of them are diagnosed with multiple illnesses' so prices might make one gulp. Sunrise of Barrington established itself as a reputable care facility some years ago and my dollars are returning full value.
Big and Expensive
reviewed on: 08/19/2013 by Jo GrahamIt was more expensive and seemed to be colder. It was really nice looking but I don't think they would be able to give my brother the attention that he needs because it's so bit. The other thing is that the expense is too much. My brother is young and he wouldn't be able to stay at Sunrise for more than a couple of years, if that.

reviewed on: 12/12/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerAnother Sunrise entirely devoted to AD care through hospice. Well run with cohesive staff. In an outlying suburb, mostly staffed and populated by local people. Perhaps 5 years old with many original staff. Very appealing & suitable. Point system here differs from point system at Sunrise Wilmette.
Sunrise of Barrington is AMAZING!
reviewed on: 10/18/2020 by Pam L.I moved my cousin into Sunrise of Barrington on December 27, 1019 after getting personal accolades from others who have had their loved ones there. From meeting the Director to working with the intake and nursing staff the experience could not have been more positive. I was assured that now they would be the caretakers and I could be the family who came to enjoy visits and set our relationship back to where it was. The weight that was lifted by know the care given to my family member was amazing! If we had a doctor appointment they were ready to get in the car when I picked them up. I visited at all hours and they were engaged in activities and were in good spirits. The communication about status, medication and health are thorough and frequent. I even got a call about a small cut and that a bandage was applied! Then with the onset of COVID and the shut down of visit the communication was even better. The staff worked with families to keep us informed and to adapt to visits outside as soon as they could. I would, and have recommended, Sunrise of Barrington to anyone. They have a special place in my heart and that of my extended family. Having someone walk with you through the journey of a loved one have Alzheimer's is a gift like no other.
