LIFE AT CONCORDIA VILLAGE

reviewed on: 04/03/2019 by JULIE SEIDMAN

HAVING LIVED ALONE FOR 10 YEARS BEFORE MOVING TO CONCORDIA, I VALUED MY "PRIVACY" AND INDEPENDENCE. BUT LIVING HERE HAS PROVEN TO BE PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I;VE MADE. LIVING IN A PATIO HOME, I CAN HAVE AS MUCH "ALONE" TIME AS I WANT BUT THERE ARE ALWAYS PEOPLE TO SOCIALIZE WITH. THE STAFF IS FANTASTIC, ALWAYS AVAIL TO HELP IF NEEDED. I HAVE RECONNECTED WITH OLD FRIENDS AND MADE MANY NEW ONES. AND THERE ARE SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INVOLVED WITH AROUND "THE VILLAGE". ALL IN ALL, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND LIFE AT CONCORDIA.

I currently, live in this great community

What a great place for me to move to after losing my husband. I have been here just 10 months and been in the rehab facility here twice for three weeks each time. Having such caring and kind people to help with my wellness has beena blessing and made it so much easier on the family!! There are always people around if you want to chat, many activities going on so you can choose to be active or just have quiet time.

Choose Concordia Village

My husband and I moved to Concordia Village over 2 years ago. We were both close to 70 years old and are on the younger end of the residents who live here. However, we love it at Concordia Village. We have never felt negative about the choice to move here and know we did not come too early. We love all the opportunities available to us. We have tried new activities at Concordia Village which we would never have tried at our previous residence. We both are involved in the village life. The other residents are our Concordia Village family and we so enjoy the socialization. Both of us enjoy the exercise, creative opportunities, volunteering, and enjoying special events that take place at Concordia Village. The staff are marvelous. The food is delicious. I can't think of a negative thing about this place. The sooner one makes the move, the sooner one can enjoy everything Concordia Village has to offer.

Top notch!!

My wife enjoyed living at Concordia Village. The food was good and the staff were friendly. They offered a variety of activities. It was a little more costly. She needed a little more care than this community could provide which is why she moved out.

What a great way to live in my senior years.

I have lived here for over 6 years. I do not think there could be a better place for me. I attend 10 exercise classes a week. I play bridge, pinochle, rummikub, hands & foot, go for walks around our campus with the lovely landscaping, eat luscious meals in our dining rooms, attend bible classes and church services, get good books to read from our well stocked library, go swimming indoors, and there is a art room for art projects including ceramics. There are all kinds of concerts, informative classes and parties held here and there is a movie theater with movies to go see everyday of the week. I still have my car in a garage here and I can come and go as I please. I am well cared for and feel safe and protected.
