Community Reviews
A clean place!
reviewed on: 04/19/2017 by AnonymousI also toured Morning Side of College Park, and I thought it was a nice community. The place was clean and maintained well. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, we got all of the information that we needed. It was a good place but just not what we were looking for.

Dad loved it here!
reviewed on: 01/03/2014 by DaughterMy father lived in this community for a few years before his care needs advanced beyond what they were able to provide. We would have really liked for him to be able to stay here, but they were not able to handle his memory care issues. It's a nice looking place, and it had a great atmosphere. The residents were friendly, and it was a very diverse community. The care itself could use a bit of improvement, they always seemed a little short on nursing staff, and they had a very high turnover rate for their aides.
Be Prepared to Be Your Loved One's Advocate!
reviewed on: 06/02/2016 by JacquelynMy father has been a resident on the memory care unit for a month now. We are pleased with the placement and he is happy and involved in the activities. The first few weeks were difficult as it wasn't clear what the expectations were for his care. Family members often found him unshaven, with missing shoes, teeth not brushed and his room in disarray. During his second week he had a fall and was found in his bed with bruising (but luckily no fracture). We have had conference calls with the administration and staff and found them to be very responsive and not defensive. On their last visit, family members found Dad clean shaven, with shoes on (which will hopefully reduce risk of more falls) and happily engaging in activities. It really is important to visit often and share feedback and concerns, especially for loved ones with dementia.
Things Are Going Okay
reviewed on: 08/24/2017 by AnonymousMy dad is doing ok since moving here a little over a month ago. He isn't liking the food, not a good variety. The staff is friendly and kind. They keep the community clean and well maintained. They offer activities but dad isn't participating in anything
