Community Reviews
No complaints!!
reviewed on: 07/18/2017 by AnonymousI have no complaints of how my tour went of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. I liked the open floor plan and all of the great amenities they had for the residents. It was just not the right fit for her in the end decision.
Looked very nice!
reviewed on: 09/08/2015 by AnonymousI toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.
Brighton Gardens, Livonia MI.
reviewed on: 12/16/2018 by Charlotte BuntingWhen my 97 yr. old mom was living at home all she wanted to do was sleep. She has mild to moderate dementia. We had some hired caregivers but that was costly and could not always send the same people. We didn't like strangers coming into her home and it was costly. Since she has been at Brighten Gardens she is a different person. She smiles more and after a period of adjustment she has stopped saying she "wants to go home". The first month she was there she took part in 84 activities. She even plays cards with a group of ladies in the evening. The food is restaurant style with many choices each meal. The help that we received from A Place for Mom was instrumental in helping us make this decision.
The staff is not all they are cracked up to be.
reviewed on: 05/12/2014 by Family MemberThe staff is not all they are cracked up to be. They are not good at record keeping and nothing seems to get written down if they fall. They don't do as much as they could or should. I think they should check in on them every couple of hours at night, and they don't. The communication and charting is not good. I like that they have so much entertainment, and it's a beautiful place. Things are pretty clean, but in the room it looks clean but is not as clean as it could be. We tried to have him ready so we could pick him up to go out, and they didn't have him ready. Their food is awesome.
Wonderful Facility!
reviewed on: 02/28/2020 by buchanan61We could not have asked for better care for my Mom. Although she was only there for 10 days, the staff could not have been more compassionate and caring during her last days. Our family can not say enough good things about her care and the staff. From the moment you walk in the door, you are part of the family. The facility is very nice, clean and welcoming. As hard as this was for my Dad and our family placing my Mom somewhere other than taking care of her at home, we made the right choice in selecting Brighton Gardens.
