On the fence
reviewed on: 06/20/2016 by CrisLove how beautiful the facility is, but the receptionist is extremely rude. She wouldn't look up from her desk and when I asked to see the charge nurse she just waved her hand in the direction and I ended up getting lost looking for her. I've also heard some horror stories of some residents being neglected from friends who have parents their and personally I've walked in and seen residents left just sitting out in the open in their wheelchairs crying. It's such a shame because of how beautiful the facility is. Hope to see some changes because I would love to bring my mother here.
A very nice facility, friendly, would recommend
reviewed on: 09/30/2021 by Rich LEverything we have heard from our loved ones there is that they are really enjoying the meals. Due to their health sometimes they don't feel comfortable leaving their apartment so they staff members will go hang out with them, start up conversations, and still make sure they feel included. The staff members and all the other residents have been really friendly so far. A couple things we liked about Twin Oaks is that they have assisted living and memory care, so if our loved one were to ever need more help, she can transition within the community and not have to leave and move somewhere else. Also Twin Oaks works with an outside skilled nursing company, so if your loved one is not ready for full on assisted living, you can purchase al la cart options from the outside team. They do everything from personal visits, tuck-in/tuck-out services, care giver assistance, shower help, injections by nurses, laundry help, and medication reminders, etc. They also offer customizable bundle packages.
Established, family-owned facility
reviewed on: 07/12/2013 by Would RecommendTwin Oaks Heritage Pointe has a small memory care unit. They had a lot of activities for assisted living but not for the memory care residents. My mom was not here very long but I only saw memory care residents watching tv or doing puzzles. It would have been nice if the staff included the memory care residents in some of the assisted living side's activities.
Everything has been great.
reviewed on: 12/03/2014 by AnonymousEverything has been great. The food is the only thing that could be done a little better. My loved one is very health conscious, and they don't have a lot of healthy choices. They offer a lot of carbs, they don't have a lot of fresh fruit choices, or things like yogurt in the morning, or maybe more baked fish. We chose them for a couple of reasons, one being the amount of space for the price, and she really liked it, it felt more like a home to her. You got a little more for your money here.
