My families experience
reviewed on: 03/02/2021 by B TylerWe think they have done very well with the meals and dining service. We appreciate their attention to detail, they make sure our loved one is well taken care of. They check on her constantly and really take time to get to know her. They seem to be able to handle with the emotional ups and down there.
Very Happy!

My mother moved into the Atrium of Matawan in December 2019 and was met with open arms by Marisa, the Community Relations Counselor and has been treated with kindness and understanding by the entire staff since day one. The overall facility presents a calm, clean environment making the residents feel comfortable and part of a small community. The professional nursing team and healthcare aides led by Nursing Supervisor, Laura has shown a skilled, friendly, caring and responsive approach with the residents. Dining menus provide daily options normally served restaurant style in a comfortable dining room. The Resident Engagement staff makes sure there are plenty of fun daily activities and welcome new ideas from both residents and families. Aside from the peace of mind that my mother is in capable hands and is in safe, friendly community, I like the fact that the management is very hands-on and have an “open door” policy where family members can contact them for any questions or concerns. Under current times, where we are all facing the COVID-19 pandemic, this facility has done an amazing job of keeping the residents safe! The facility Director, Brian, has been managing this difficult experience tremendously by staying ahead of the curve on safety precautions while understanding the concerns of both the residents and their families. He has been transparent throughout this difficult time by reporting all developments good and bad. I guess having an Italian mother who has always done things her own way for 92 years and hasn’t expressed any real complaints is the best testament I can give the ATRIUM SENIOR LIVING OF MATAWAN….. They Have Patient Staff
reviewed on: 12/06/2016 by AnonymousI had some issues at first and I put in a complaint and it has mostly been resolved. For 2 day she got to stay her in apartment then got sick. I was just getting to know Kathy in memory care, she was great and patient. The residents have dinner together and watch TV in the evening. My mom will be able to stay onsite in the rehab upstairs, no need to move out. The staff help with medication and wake her up to take it if she is sleeping.
Great and Caring staff
reviewed on: 04/11/2020 by JimOur 88 year old aunt has been in the Memory Care Section for several months now and we are most pleased with the care and concern that has been shown to her by her aides, nursing staff and the administrative office. They all are dedicated, committed and informative individuals, especially during these difficult times with the coronavirus. In addition, they have provided daily updates via teleconferences to keep the families informed and also provided Facetime opportunities with our loved ones in the absence of a personal visit. Their attention to detail in keeping the residents safe and protected has been extraordinary. They are very pro-active in minimizing the potential spread of the virus and for that we are most grateful. I would also mention that Brian Long, the executive director, has provided an extra level of service and care that is of the highest standard along with his assistants, Laura Mason, Jen and Lorraine. They go the extra mile in providing service to the residents.
