I would love to live here myself. I chose another community because my mother needed a higher level of care, but this was a great option.

Also being new, there are only a few residents in the memory care section, which appears to provide sufficient personal care by the staff but may limit personal interactions with others. Not sure if they are up to speed with their activities yet. There was a glitch with the transfer from the nursing home to The Bristal due to the defined dietary requirements of my sister. The Bristal cannot accommodate a pureed diet as indicated by the nursing home. It took about three weeks to resolve the issue (twice) which was very frustrating. The overall staff is friendly and helpful. The ratings are based on the first week of residence.

reviewed on: 07/28/2016 by HelenMy mom has been living at The Bristal at Woodcliff Lake for six months now. The staff is always friendly. They take great care of her and everyone knows her well. They have gotten her to do things I never thought she would, like take exercise classes, and they seem genuinely interested in making sure she is happy and healthy. It was not easy getting mom to leave her home after 52 years. We looked at a lot of places. But this has worked out really well for everyone in our family. She is happy again, and we are thrilled for her!
Excellent choice
reviewed on: 09/02/2018 by Rosemary CMy mother recently moved into the Bristal after close to thirty years of living on her own. The staff has been welcoming and worked hard to ease her transition. Her apartment is spacious and certainly feels like home. The facility is bright, colorful, and cheerful. After searching extensively throughout the area, we knew this was the right place for her. We are pleased with her decision to begin the next phase of her life.
