Thank goodness for the Bristal in Lynbrook

Mom is staying there after having suffered a stroke and we were scrambling on how to make sure she would be looked after properly while we all work. The food, activities, and entertainment are all excellent but most important of all is the dedication of the staff there who really care. Bristal of Lynbrook was the answer to our prayers!
Need fresh veggies
reviewed on: 10/20/2015 by AnonymousI'm not there enough to go by but from what I saw she is okay with everything. The food could be a little better and they need more fresh vegetables. More like fresh salads. Everything at the facility is cooked or they receive sandwiches. They grew up on big bowls of salad and use that at the facility.
I'm very pleased with the process
reviewed on: 04/07/2017 by TonyBMary Dorazio of The Bristal was excellent. She was the only representative of a facility that sent ALL the pertinent information on the first request. There is still one facility that has not been forthcoming with this information despite two requests. The response has been an invitation to tour the facility. The initial phase of signing and moving in has been fine, and dealing with management and the staff has been very good. Honorable mention to Dawn Burke who has worked diligently to make my mother's transition as seamless as possible. I'm very pleased with the process.
Close-knit community
reviewed on: 02/23/2016 by AnonymousThe Bristal seems like a very nice place, overall. The sales person we worked with, Mary, was knowledgeable and very helpful. Everyone is very friendly, and the community seems very close-knit. The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff do a good job looking out for the residents.
