Above and beyond the norm
reviewed on: 12/22/2018 by a. j. BuecheMy sister recently became a resident at Home of the Good Shepherd, because of some unexpected glitches during her release from the hospital. The people at Home of the Good Shepherd made an enormous effort to stay very late on a Friday and make her admission possible. They were extremely understanding and pro-active to resolve a very problematic situation, supplying everything we needed at very short notice. A special thank to the Assistant Administrator Deb, and Kelly, as well as everyone else that made this possible. It was an enormous effort, with a happy ending.
Got to Keep her Piano!
reviewed on: 11/22/2013 by SonThey keep them very busy! They are pretty good about the whole thing. They are very, very good about taking care of my mother and whatever her needs are. I don't see any need for improvement. They let her have her piano, which was extremely important to her.

Piano and Games
reviewed on: 11/15/2013 by BrotherMost people are very friendly, and the staff is great. No complaints. I was there today visiting my brother. My brother is very happy there - when he was in independent living he was lonesome. He would stay downstairs in the foyer and read the papers for hours and hours by himself. Now he has dinner at 5 and there are a lot of women there and they play board games after dinner. He is so engrossed in playing the games. He plays the piano for them, and they have even had him playing the piano for residents in the memory care unit. He also has a piano in his room. We really liked Home of the Good Shepherd because they would drive him to dentist and doctors, which is more than 30 miles away.
