At the top of our list
reviewed on: 10/17/2020 by DonExcellent tour with complete information and answers to tons of questions that we had. Lisa was very patient and helpful in guiding us in our search for assisted living for mom. When we are ready to move her from home, Atria Southpoint Walk will be at the top of our list.
Awesome Place for an Elderly Person
reviewed on: 05/27/2021 by Gary HThe staff did an awesome job with the Covid protections, which is one of the reasons I chose them. I believe they've only had 3 cases total from the very beginning of Covid, because they shut everything down above and beyond the CDC guidelines. The staff are professional and nice. It's beautiful and clean. There's a nice library. The grounds are nice, and it's a good location - you name it, it's there nearby. Yet it's still quiet where the residents live. The rooms are nice. The physical therapy there is the best I've ever seen - they're incredible. They're starting to open up more and more. I know in June they're going to start up trips again on a limited basis. My loved one is in independent living, but they have a really good assisited living section as well.
It has been wonderful.
reviewed on: 11/12/2015 by AnonymousIt has been wonderful. I have no negative comments whatsoever. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The other residents have been pretty friendly. It's newer and in a great location. It's light and bright, you don't feel like you are walking into an old folks home. There is a vibrancy when you walk in. My loved ones are very intellectual and they offer some very intellectual activities, which is nice. Even though my loved ones are independent there is an assisted area, so if the need arises, they won't have to move again. They have some separate units that offer more independence and privacy if that works better. We also really liked that they have their own washer and dryer in unit, which was huge.

I've never looked back....
reviewed on: 10/28/2020 by Betsy BAtria Southpoint Walk in Durham NC has been my home since May 2019. In June 2018, my dear husband Andy passed away very suddenly. In early Spring 2019, I was facing major surgery and a long recovery at home. A close friend was concerned about me and my beloved cat Jack living at home home alone, so she brought me to visit Atria. I loved it, and I was so happy to know I could continue to live near my church, my friends, my stores and restaurants, and all my familiar surroundings. I couldn't move to Atria right away, but the Community Sales Director Lisa stayed in touch with me, and after my surgery, I came to visit again. Lisa showed me the most perfect apartment - a 1st floor 2-BR, 2-bath apartment with a bright sunroom where Jack could take a nap and watch the birds. I especially loved having a full kitchen and being able to bring my own full-size washer/dryer right into my apartment. I leased the apartment immediately, and since Jack and I moved here, I have never looked back. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they have made my life so easy. The great OT/PT therapists have helped me regain my strength and mobility. I am safe and well cared for, and despite the isolation we have all experienced during COVID, I am so thankful to be here. Andy would be so pleased to know that I live in such a wonderful community.
