Not Quite Settled In Yet

reviewed on: 09/08/2017 by Anonymous

Since my mom is a shy person she does not feel comfortable yet. It would have been nice to go through an orientation for new residents. I have been there to help her, they said there are staff to help her but it looks as though they are short staffed. I feel the communication is not good. We waited 45 minutes for a staff to come to my mom after she pushed the call the button. She does not like eating in the dining room, it has been hard for to move thorough it and if she wants to eat in her room there is a $5 charge which I think is a little pricey. When she does go to the dining room they sit her in the same spot every time. I have eaten lunch with her and the meal was good but I have noticed they serves a lot of sauce with the meals and she does not like that. Activities are there for the residents and some of them are not fitting because she has limitations.

Love it here!

I can't say enough about the staff here. Everybody works hard and is very caring and will help in any way they can to keep us happy. I mean this from my heart. They make me feel at home.

Outstanding care

I am very happy with the care from this community. The meals are outstanding with just the right seasonings. The activites are really great for her and she is enjoying everything. I like this community very much and happy with the size of the community and they keep it very clean. I would highly recommend other families for the care and the value for a loved one.

home sweet home

My mother in law was at miller farm for about two years, until her passing. It was a wonderful place to call home. She liked to walk, so it was ideal with the way that it is set up for her to walk the halls in a nice square. It only has about 40 residents and so it has a very family type atmosphere. They receive three nice meals a day, with other snacks available. My mother in law said that the food was good and it always looked very appetizing. Until the virus hit , they had lots of entertainment. Encouraged family gatherings and parties. They would invite family members for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner about a week before thanksgiving. They would have a Christmas party, with gifts for the residents. They have a truly caring and giving staff, I cannot tell you what a blessing they were to our family. Since residents were confined to their rooms a lot due to the virus, the staff would go and visit and spend time with them . Truly i cannot express how grateful i am for the care and love that was shown my family member. i would highly recommend miller farm to anyone that needs this type of assistance. thank you all at miller farm

They are doing a great job.

They are doing a great job. It's very, very, clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I just think they need more staff. The people that are there do a great job, and Lori is great. I think they are doing very well.
