Community Reviews
Lots of activities
reviewed on: 10/31/2013 by DaughterThe cleanliness is great and if we have any questions or any problems they go and take care of it like, right now. Considering it's a low ration the quality is quite good. Things slip through the cracks sometimes like someone from another house volunteers to come and do laundry and they'll deliver it to the wrong room or the hearing aid batter goes dead and they don't know until the next day but that's because my mom doesn't know enough to tell them it's dead. The activities are on going, this last week of the calendar is on my wall [removed] they watched game shows after break, morning snack, trivia game, a walking club, exercise of music-depending on where they are- there's something everyday. They take them on scenic tours on the bus and they have, from 7-8 in the evening, they watch jeopardy or wheel of fortune

The really care about you
reviewed on: 11/02/2017 by AnonymousWhile looking for a place for my mother this location is the best in comparison to what I have seen. The location is very close me, only about 3 ½ mi. away so it’s very convenient. The entire staff was very welcoming and hospitable. Even the younger assistants and caretakers made a great first impression. When I first arrived they introduced themselves and explained their positions and what they do for their residents. They told me that they look forward to meeting my mother and I thought that was very nice of them to do. The first thing we noticed was how clean the area was. Compared to the other locations that I have been to, it did not smell like an old time nursing home. I had only had a few hiccups with the location. I went into my mom’s closet one day and I noticed that there weren’t a lot of clothes hanging. I looked in her basket and there were some clothes that needed to be washed. I carried her basket downstairs to the laundry room and I saw so many clothes in the open. I could not tell if the clothes were clean or dirty. I asked a nearby associated and explained to him what I saw. He told me that sometimes when the laundry people don’t have enough time to wash the clothes they would ball up the clothes and put it away on the shelves. I told him that this was not ok. If these clothes were cleaned they shouldn’t been all scrunched up and wrinkled in a basket. They had a whole week’s worth of laundry dirty/cleaned and crappy looking; it is not good at all. I then talked with Tammy, who was another associate, what I have seen and she immediately apologized. She assured me that this will never happen again with my mother or another patient. Another issue was keeping a wheelchair for my mother. We are actually making payments for my mother to have a wheelchair and it seems to always be taken for someone else. I didn’t know why this kept happening. We had made a special blanket for her with her name on it to put on the back of the wheel chair so others will know it’s hers. Also, the foot rest on the wheel chair kept disappearing for some unknown reason. When my mother needs her wheel chair and the foot rests are missing, I would have to run all over the place to find them. But these things were not enough to get completely upset over. Overall, this a true memory care place and all the staff really cares for their patients and their families. They try to help you understand what is going on with their loved one and would explain why a certain patient is acting in a particular manner. As things happen they would sit down with you and keep you up to date. This is a very nice clean place that have people that care.

reviewed on: 01/25/2017 by AnonymousI like this nice community for the care of my mom. The staff are very nice and caring. The meals are very good and she is happy with the meals. They do offer nice activities for those who can participate. She had friends who had moved into the community so that made it easier for her to adjust. We would recommend this community for other families for the care of a loved one for good care and value.
